Glenn Maxwell could play in third Chappell-Hadlee game
Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell could find a place in the starting XI for the inconsequential third Chapell-Hadlee game against New Zealand at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Friday.
The head coach of the team Darren Lehmann has showered praises on the 28-year-old all rounder, stating that the manner in which he has handled the controversy, involving himself and Matthew Wade has been fantastic
"He's been fantastic, full credit to him, the way he's handled it and the way he's been around the group and getting prepared to play each and every game. We've named the team quite late both times because we've only got down to the ground just before basically, so it's been a late call," he said.
David Mathias replaces Manish Pandey in Karnataka playing XI
Maharashtra have finally given a green signal to Karnataka and have allowed them to replace Manish Pandey with bowling all-rounder David Mathias in their playing XI.
Manish had to leave the Karnataka team after he was drafted in the Indian Test squad for the ongoing Test series against England.
Maharashtra captain, Swapnil Gugale initially refused Karnataka to name a replacement when Pandey was plucked out on the first day. He eventually relented and Mathias came out to bat at the fall of the fifth wicket.
