Max Walker passes away

Max Walker who was a former Australian fast bowler and a commentator passed away at the age of 68 due to Melanoma. The Tasmanian played 34 Tests and 17 ODIs from 1973-81 and claimed 138 test wickets at an average of 27.

Lodha Panel wants BCCI's top brass to be sacked 


After the BCCI decided not to comply with the Supreme Court's regulations, the Lodha committee has called for cricket body's top-brass to be sacked, including its president, Anurag Thakur.

 "SC will not allow BCCI to defy court orders. We will pass appropriate orders to set you right." Saying that the board was bringing the entire system into disrepute, SC further added: "You (BCCI) are behaving like lords. Fall in line otherwise we will make you fall in line," said TS Thakur, who is the Chief Justice of India.

Nathan Coulter-Nile sidelined for a long duration 


After suffering a lumbar bone stress fracture to his lower back during Australia's recent tour of Sri Lanka, Justin Langer revealed that pacer Coulter-Nile would miss the rest of the Australian summer. The 28-year-old, who has played 16 One-Day Internationals and 17 Twenty20 Internationals for Australia, is likely to miss the entire domestic season

Azhar Mahmood retained as bowling coach for Pakistan


Former all-rounder Azhar Mahmood has been retained as the bowling coach for the Pakistan cricket team. A Pakistan Cricket Board official confirmed that an agreement with Azhar, who resides in the UK, was almost finalised. Azhar was the bowling coach for the national side in the Asia Cup and World T20 earlier this year, followed by the limited-over series in England.

The 29-year old, who scored a match-winning unbeaten 82 against Ireland, still considers himself behind Aaron Finch in order of preference for the opening slot of the national team. Finch missed the match due to a finger fracture.

Jimmy Neesham ruled out of second Test

Kiwi pacer James Neesham, who was ruled out of the first Test at Kanpur, won't be fit in time for the second Test as well, owing to a rib injury that hasn't healed in time.
