A familiar story for India as they put in a fantastic performance but lost the game by a solitary goal, repeating the scoreline of their first game.India and South Africa played out an end-to-end contest, with the hosts just about shading things in the opening 15 minutes. South Africa went ahead midway through the first half with a bullet header from Radzilani.India went close with South Africa putting plenty of last ditch tackles to deny Aman and Komal, but went into the break tailing.India dominated the start of the second half as well, with Boris making merry on the right, while Aman nearly profited from Baadjies error. In sharp contrast, Dheeraj was absolutely fantastic, making a couple of saves to keep India in with a chance. The hosts applied heavy pressure in injury time, but South Africa put in some fantastic blocks to deny India and hold on for the win.
90+9' ALMOST! Sanjeev sends in a peach of a cross with his left foot and Baadjies drops it, but it is cleared anyway.
90+8' India have a free-kick on the right wing. Foolish from Thabo Vincent.
90+7' WHAT A SAVE! Dheeraj save a point blank header with a stunning save right at the death. South Africa have a corner and should play out for the win.
90+6' Sanjeev sends in a good ball with Abhijit and Rakip lurking, but South Africa get their blocks in and clear
90+5' Baadjies wastes some more time by claiming he has an injury. Not sure how this happened to be honest, he wasn't even near a physical challenge.
90+4' India have another corner. Meetie tries to take it quickly, but his teammates aren't as aware. Sanjeev to take.
90+2' The boys are visibly tired though, and there doesn't look to be a clear route to goal for India. South Africa waste some time with a throw-in.
90+1' 6 minutes of injury time. What's the Indian version of Fergie time?
90+1' NEARLY! A flap from Baadjies nearly allows India to score, but the ball is cleared out for another corner. India can't do it from the following set-piece as well.
90' A corner for India... Can they do it?
88' Confident stuff from Dheeraj, as he towers over everyone and collects the free kick. He's been really impressive tonight.
87' A break in play as South Africa earn a free-kick for what looked like a foul on Sanjeev. Odd, that.
86' Should have done better there.. A misplaced header allows a cross from the left for India, but Meetie mishits the cross with Abhijit lurking and Baadjies collects. South Africa nearly score from the counter, but some last ditch tackles coupled with Dheeraj's smothering presence helps.
84' WHAT A CHA... Oh that''s offside. Amarjit's low powered shot from range becomes a pass for an unmarked Abhijit in the box, but he's offside. A bit of a relief for him as he miscontrolled the ball.
82' Abhijit's first contribution is to collect the ball on the edge of the box, turn and burst past his marker to the right byline and then... send in a cross out of play.
82' South Africa bring on Nkosi for their goal-scorer Radzilani
81' India make their final substitutions as Joysana replaces Aniket and Abhijit Sarkar replaces Aman Chetri
78' Captain's work from Suresh as he tracks back to help out Boris who was caught upfield. The duo eventually get the ball clear, but this is not what the colts need to be doing if they want a result from this game.
76' ALMOST! Radebe bursts past his markers and tries to take on Indian defenders in a 2v2, but Rakip makes the interception and hacks the ball clear.
75' Oh dear, Radzilani is beaing stretchered off, and the game resumes.
74' Radzilani is down after a clash of heads and recieves treatment.
73' Mawia comes on for Komal - Interesting to see if this results in a change in India's formation.
72' ALMOST! Komal sends a through ball from deep as India counter, and Aman getss clear of his marker, but the pass is overhit and Baadjie clears.
70' HOW DID THEY NOT SCORE! Last ditch defending from India as Dheeraj, Jitendra and Rakip all get their blocks in after South Africa burst into the left edge of the box.
