Good evening and welcome to the Sportskeeda liveblog of Srikanth Kidambi's quarter-final. The former India No. 1 faces a tough opponent - the fifth seed Shi Yuqi, who reached the All England Championships final this year.

Srikanth is still making his way back to the top after losing a chunk of the season last year due to stress fracture in his right ankle. At the Singapore Open this week, he has shown flashes of his fighting spirit in the two wins that he amassed to reach the last-eight. Especially in the second round, he came back from three match points down to eke out the tough win in three games over Ihsan Maulana Mustofa.

Srikanth will definitely try his best to get a chance to join his compatriot B Sai Praneeth, who earlier upset the World No. 11 Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk to reach the semis.
