Neeraj Chopra finishes with a 81.06 throw after three consecutive fouls. Perhaps trying a bit too hard for the 90+? All the same, another night, another personal best. He keeps doing that, he will be alright.

Neeraj Chopra sets a new national record and a personal best of 87.43 m in men's Javelin throw at @dldoha . Germany took the first 3 spots with all three athletes throwing over 90 m. Looking forward to see Neeraj participate in more #DiamondLeague meets

It's taken an absolutely incredible effort from the three Germans Rohler (91.78m) Vetter (91.56 ) and Hoffman (90.08) to deny Neeraj Chopra (87.43m) from a place on the podium. Don't think there have been any tournaments where three throwers have crossed 90m!

Neeraj Chopra shows no sign of letting go of the form that saw him win gold at the CWG. The 20-year-old javelin thrower is currently fourth in the Doha @Diamond_League with a new NR of 87.43m. His old mark was 86.48m. Can he break the 90m barrier now? pic.twitter.com/Q8btO01q00
