A dominating effort from India as they went into the first half with the lead, courtesy of a goal from skipper Vikram Kumar before he found the back of the net twice in the second half to register a hat-trick and take India to a comfortable lead.

In the final few minutes, Becky Oram converted a half-volley into a goal as he turned in the ball to the Jordan keeper's left, triggering wild celebrations in the Indian camp as the Jordan players could not muster up the required confidence and game to pose a challenge to the exuberant Indian team.

58' Powerful attempt from Rohit Danu from the right-side of goal with his right foot but the ball goes at a comfortable height to the Jordan keeper, who collects cleanly.

56' A real scoring opportunity for Jordan as the ball lobs off the defender and at a correct height to Mohammed Issa who takes a shot at goal but misses as the ball whizzes past the goal.

54' Frantic appeal for Handball from Jordan, NOT GIVEN. They claim that a penalty should have been awarded but the umpire is disinterested.

53' Fantastic ball in from the left winger but Harpreet Singh at the center heads the ball away to deny Jordan any control.

50' Another fine opportunity for Jordan to score but the striker over-runs the through ball and the ball is intercepted by the Indian defense.

The two teams held each other throughout the first half, with the Jordan defense shining through until a stroke of luck laced with some skill from skipper Vikram Kumar saw India breaking the deadlock in the dying minutes of the first half.

The Indians will go into the break with a lot of confidence behind them while Jordan will hope to see a change in fortunes as the opportunities that have been presented to them have gone begging.

Finally, a free kick converted from India as the skipper opens the scoring with a clever touch from the center of the court as the ball skids off the surface and thuds to the right side of the net. Vikram was lucky there as the ball lobbed up to him and he had no defender in front of him, all he needed was to place the ball which he did with composure.

40' This time, India fail to convert an opportunity. Givson Singh cleverly places the ball in the path of Ridge Kelvin, who manages to mess up an easy chance to collect the ball and score.
