So the event is done and dusted. Jagdish Singh moves up a position to 103.

There are some racers who are still trying to finish the race. So we will have to wait for a while to find out Jagdish's final ranking.

Jagdish Singh finishes in the 104 position with a timing of 43:00:3. He was +9:16:4 behind the gold medallist.

G Madrazo from Mexico who is the oldest competitor (43 years) in this category is still on his course to finish the race.

Jagdish has completed 9.8 km in 28:03:5 and is +6:13:1 behind the leader. His rank is 105.

Jagdish has completed 7.5 km in 20:46:6 and is +4:28:6 behind the leader.

Jagdish has completed 6 km in 17:03:6 and is +3:40:4 behind the leader.

D Cologna gets the gold. This will be his third gold medal. Three golds in three Olympics. And he finished the race under 34 minutes.

Michal Novak, Brtolina and and Razym are now in the last sector of the race. They have nearly closed down on the finish line.

It's getting exciting here. Roman Fruger of Switzerland took the lead, but he was soon overtaken by Razym.

Ales Razym of Czech Republic now takes the lead, followed by Sebastian Eisenlauer of Germany. Bertolina has now slipped down to third.

Out of a total of 116 skiers, Jagdish will be the 116th to take to the track. There's still quite a bit of time left for him to come on.

Michail Novak of the Czech Republic leads the pack currently, followed by Dominik Baldauf from Austria, and Sebastian Eisenlauer.

Hello and welcome to Sportskeeda's live coverage of the Winter Olympic Games.

Skiier Jagdish Singh will be taking part in his first ever Olympics when he participates in men's 15 Km freestyle cross-country skiing. He is the only Indian athlete apart from luger Shiva Keshavan to qualify for this edition of the Games.

Coming into the Games, Jagdish was caught in a tussle between the Winter Games Federation of India and his employers, the Indian Army, over who will go along as his coach because of which his departure for South Korea was delayed. Finally, the issue was resolved and Nadeem Iqbal, who himself took part in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, was named as the coach. Eventually, Jagdish could reach Pyeongchang just in time for the Opening Ceremony.
