He should be looking to repeat that great performance today as well.

Title contender Srikanth Kidambi will look to enter the business end of the men's singles draw of the BWF World Championships 2017 and will have to get past the challenge from Lucas Corvee, who is ranked number 63 in the world. The two have met before at the Swiss Open two years ago, with the Indian coming up trumps 21-18 21-10. The match is the fourth in the order of play, with the first starting at the 3.30 PM IST.

Sai Praneeth, Ajay Jayaram and Sameer Verma will be in action as well throughout the day. In the women's singles draw, three shuttlers will be in action - Rituparna Das, Tanvi Lad and Saina Nehwal. 

The pairing of Ashwini Ponnappa and Sikki Reddy will face Danish duo Kamilly Rytter Juhl and Christinna Pedersen, who are the second seeds and in another match, Sanjana Santosh and Arathi Sunil will be up against Bao Yixin and Yu Xiaohan of China.
