Okada thanks the fans for their support. The new champion says there's still a long way for him to go. He says it's great to see so many fans out at the show tonight. He also pays tribute to the late Antonio Inoki, asking the late great legend of what he thought of tonight's matches and says his spirit of competition will live on.

Shingo Takagi has entered the ring. He congratulates Okada but says he can't forget losing the title to him. Shingo says he had a good 2022 despite it and wants a shot at the title.

It was a valiant effort from Jay White but there can only be one winner and it's the Rainmaker. Okada seems to have found a new level of respect for Jay White as he walks away.

You gotta feel bad or Jay White. He tries to hold onto the belt for as long a possible but Red Shoes finally takes it from White and puts it around Okada's waist. However, White is crawling over to Okada and has a message for the new champ before rolling out of the ring.

Okada is all over Jay White now. He hits White with one last Rainmaker clothesline and pins him to become the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion once again.

Both wrestlers continue to trade chops. White wins this battle and takes Okada down. He now screams at Okada, saying his title won't be taken from him. Okada takes down White with a right hand and follows it with a series of forearm strikes.

Jay White not hits a clothesline of his own. He has Okada by the wrist and hits a second. He goes for another Blade Runner but Okada plants him with a Rainmaker. Jay White still kicks out!

Okada goes for a third but White dodges it. Okada hits a clothesline instead. Okada goes for the third Rainmaker Clothesline but White hits a Blade Runner. Kazuchika Okada kicks out at the last second.

White hits Okada with an elevated back suplex, only a two-count. White follows it up with a Bloody Sunday and signals for the finish. He looks for the Blade Runner but Okada counters with a German Suplex. Okada maintains the hold and follows it up with a backslide and then the Rainmaker. He planted White there. Okada hits a second Rainmaker clothesline. White is in trouble.

Okada goes for the Rainmaker but White spits in his face to throw him off. It works. White takes Okada down and both men are on the mat.

Back in the ring, Okada hits a bodyslam, follows by a flying elbow drop. Okada then does the trademark Rainmaker pose but can hit the move. White just sits down to block it.

White uses his body weight to break free from the Money Clip and rolls out of the ring for some respite. Okada goes for a dive over the rope but Gedo blocks him. Okada takes him out with a right hand and climbs to the top rope and hits a Swanton Bomb out to the floor, taking out Gedo and Jay White.

Okada has the Money Clip locked in but not properly. Okada pivots and hits a Tombstone instead. He follows it up with a Rainmaker! Okada now locks in the Money Clip again but White is still sort of blocking it.

Jay White has been on top for a while now but he can't put Okada away. White is getting frustrated here. Okada hits back with a series of kicks across the face. White smashes Okada with a series of chops but they barely have any effect. Okada hits back with a set of forearms followed by his trademark dropkick.

Back in the ring, Okada looks to lock in the Money Clip but White breaks free in desperation. He plants Okada face-first into the mat and follows it up with a deadlift German Suplex.

The match spills out to the entrance ramp. Gedo tries to distract Okada and gets smashed and sent face-first into the ramp for his trouble.

White goes for a cover but only gets a 2-count. He calls out the ref for an alleged slow count and screams "two" while chopping Okada across the chest.

White has the slight advantage early on. He's found a couple of openings and capitalized so far. Okada goes for a punch but White dodges it and takes him down with a DDT. The match spills to ringside as Jay White slams Okada into the barricade and then the side of the ring. He then hits a nasty reverse suplex onto the apron. Okada bounces off the apron and to the floor.

Kenny Omega looks like he has Ospreay nailed. He hits a standing V-Trigger and follows it up with the One Winged Angel. He does it! Kenny Omega finally manages to pin Will Ospreay. What a battle. What a performance by both men. But there can only be one winner and it's AEW's Kenny Omega.

Ospreay hits another Hidden Blade but can't get the win. The champ now tries to hit a Storm Breaker but Kenny breaks free. Both men go down again. This has been a war.

Ospreay goes for the Storm Break but Kenny breaks free. Ospreay then nails Kenny Omega with a Styles Clash!

Ospreay is somehow still alive in this match. He nails Omega with a powerbomb to get a 2-count. He follows it up with the Chelsea Kiss and then a Hidden Blade, followed by a second. Ospreay then bounces off the middle rope and hits a Super Oz Cutter. Only a nearfall.

Kenny Omega hits a German Suplex off the top rope and Ospreay STILL kicks out. Omega follows it up with a V-Trigger. Another nearfall. Can Will Ospreay be beaten tonight?

Omega is looking to finish this. He heads back up to the top rope and Ospreay manages to stumble into the ropes, causing Kenny to lose his footing. He lands on the exposed steel.

Red Shoes asks Ospreay if he's okay to continue and he gets pushed away. Omega immediately takes Ospreay down again. He hits another snap Dragon Suplex and looks to be getting ready to finish the match. Omega looks to hit the V-Trigger but Ospreay's only defense here is trying to grab hold of Omega's leg. Kenny plants him with another piledriver but Ospreay gets his foot on the bottom rope.

Back in the ring now, Omega hits a piledriver but Ospreay somehow kicks out. His face is caked in blood by now. Omega mounts Ospreay and hits a series of open hand strikes. Red Shoes finally manages to stop the AEW star. He needs to regain control of this match.

Omega stops the ref from making the count and follows it up with a running dive out to ringside, wiping out Ospreay who is bleeding profusely. Omega smashes Ospreay's head into a table and breaks the wood on impact.

Will Ospreay has been busted open by that exposed turnbuckle. He's down at ringside. That's nasty.

Both Omega and Ospreat are back near the ropes. The champion his a nasty chop across the chest. Both men are perched on the top rope again. Omega hits a nasty DDT onto the top rope. Ospreay landed on top of Omega there and goes rolling out of the ring. United Empire are immediately there to check on him.

Omega and Ospreay are perched in a dangerous position on the top rope. Omega tries to hit an Avalanche Dragon Suplex but Ospreay lands on his feet. He immediately hits Omega with a spinning kick and follows it up with an Oz Cutter. Another nearfall.

Ospreay is back up and looking to capitalize. He hits Kenny Omega with a leaping forearm to the back off the head after leaping off the top rope. He looks for the Oz Cutter but Omega holds on and hits a V-Trigger to the back of the head and follows it up with a Poisonrana and a modified Ushi Goroshi. Ospreay kicks out at two and a half.

Back to the match, Ospreay goes for an Oz Cutter on the apron but Omega holds onto the top rope, sending Ospreay crashing into the hardest part of the ring. Omega then slams a table across his opponents back and then leaps off the apron with a double stomp through the table.

Ospreay finally manages to get some offense in. He launches Omega in the air and throat-first into the top rope. He follows it up with a cutter and needs to regroup a little here. Omega has dominated most of this match.

Omega hits an armdrag and follows it up with a quick kick to the back. He goes for a cocky pin but Ospreay easily kicks out. Omega then chokes his opponent in the corner with a boot to the neck.

Ospreay is on a precarious position on the apron. Omega charges at him and sends him flying off and into the barricade, Omega has taken control here and rolls his opponent back into the ring. Omega continues to hammer Omega as Don Callis sings The Cleaner's praises on commentary.

Will Ospreay tries to surprise Omega with a running boot as soon as the bell rings but Omega sidesteps it. Things get heated soon after this as both men slap each other across the face.

Up next, AEW's Kenny Omega challenges Will Ospreay for the IWGP United States Championship.

Ishimori now brings a steel chair into the ring and takes out Master Wato. Wato doesn't stay down for long and he takes out Takahashi with an elevated German Suplex. Takahashi reverses Wato's next move and hits the Time Bomb for the 3-count. We have a new champion!
