The Championship match is underway and the crowd is cheering for The Phenomenal One.

The two men try to lock each other and Ambrose ends up mocking Styles. The Phenomenal One tries a couple of quick roll ups as a way of sending a message but The Lunatic Fringe is unperturbed.

We have an epic clash on the cards.

Ambrose gains momentum after a couple of arm drags and side slam. Styles slides out of the ring and lands a few lusty blows on the Champion.

The crowd is behind Styles, but Ambrose fights back and tries to take off but is halted by Styles. The Phenomenal One then hits a neck breaker and continues to work on the neck of the Champion.

Ambrose is seen struggling for his breath...

Styles then nails a dropkick and Ambrose looks lost. He follows it with a body slam and a flying knee.

AJ then corners Ambrose but The Lunatic Fringe turns the tables and launches an uninhibited attack. However, Styles moves out as Ambrose launches and the champion goes crashing into the post.

After Ambrose fails with a clothesline, Ambrose takes The Face That Runs The Place on the top turnbuckle and lands the Belly-to-Back Superplex and both men are down.

Ambrose goes flying outside and hits an elbow on Styles. Ambrose is hyped up and hits the faith-buster. He then rolls the challenger for a 2-count.

Ambrose sends Styles over the barricade and follows him by flying from the announcer's table. Ambrose is pumped and the crowd chants  'This is Awesome'.

Styles fights back but is met with a Lunatic Lariat.

Styles then low blows Ambrose as the referee is blindsided and follows it with the Styles Clash. He then pins Ambrose to become the new WWE World Champion.

Following their win over The Hype Bros, The Usos make their way to the ring to take on Heath Slater and Rhyno with the duo following to huge cheers from the crowd.

Jimmy Uso and Heath Slater start the proceedings in the middle of the ring. Slater is clearly hyped up and receives a positive reaction from the crowd - as expected.

He starts to unload on Jimmy as Jey tags himself in but is taken down by Slater. Rhyno joins and the two double team on the Samoan.

Slater comes back in and Jey pushes him onto his brother. The two then combine to perform a suplex on him into the post before being hit by a Superkick.

The Usos are revelling in their heel avatar. Jimmy distracts the referee as Jey illegally attacks Slater. Jey then locks him in a Sleeper Hold, but Slater is able to break it.

Jimmy Uso comes into the ring and prevents Slater from hot-tagging Rhyno. Rhyno is absolutely buzzing on the ringside waiting for his turn to unload on The Samoan Twins.

Slater is desperate to make the tag, but the Usos are just not allowing him the freedom. The Samoan Twins are in complete control, but Slater fights back out of nowhere and collides with Jey.

Slater and Jey hot-tag their partners and Rhyno unloads on Jimmy and then Jey. Rhyno lands the Belly-to-Belly on Jimmy and lines him for the Gore but misses.

Slater tags himself in and takes out both Jimmy and Jey, He is absolutely electrified and hit Jimmy for a DDT and a near fall.

Jey interferes and this allows Jimmy to land the Superkick on Slater. Rhyno joins the fun and Gores down Jimmy, allowing Slater to pin him for the win.

The Eater of Worlds makes his way to the ring as boos ring out. Chants of Randy ring out, but it is announced that due to injury Randy Orton will not be participating.

It it then announced that, Wyatt will have to compete in another No Holds Barred match against an unknown opponent.

As Wyatt looked bemused and called for his opponent to come out, Kane's music hits. As we had already reported, it was expected that Kane would replace Randy Orton for the match against Wyatt.

Kane vs. Bray Wyatt

Kane starts unloading on Wyatt before taking him outside of the ring.

Kane clears the announcer's table but Wyatt fights back and picks a chair but Kane intercepts him before rolling his opponent inside the ring.

After some more to and fro, Bray gains the momentum and gets hold of the chair. He starts unloading on the Big Red Machine before referring to himself as the crowd.

Kane fights back with a DDT on Bray as his face crashes on the chair. He then starts working on The New Face of Fear on the corners before hitting the Sidewalk Slam.

He lines up Bray for the chokeslam but Wyatt fights back. The action shifts outside the ring and Kane again goes for the chokeslam but is levelled by The Eater of Worlds.

He then continues to insult Bryan's inability to compete anymore. The Miz highlights that it will be difficult for them to negotiate a new contract after he defends his title.

He finally makes his way to the ring alongside his wife Maryse.

The two wrestlers kick off the match with a double leg takedown by Ziggler on Miz. Miz rolls out.

Ziggler is raging and tries to pin the IC champion a couple of times before The Miz fights back.

Ziggler then ducks underneath a clothesline before landing two dropkicks, but The Miz then escapes a Superkick and turns things around.

Miz then pins The Showoff for a 2-count before locking his opponent in a Bow and Arrow stretch. Ziggler is somehow able to convert it into a roll up before attempting a jackknife cover.

The Miz looks to take advantage of it. The Miz then trash talks his opponent, asking him 'Who is the coward.'

We move backstage and Randy Orton is assaulted by Bray Wyatt. Probably to include Orton's inability to compete in a storyline. In case you are just joning us Orton has not been given the green light by the WWE medical team to compete tonight due to a concussion he suffered in the match against Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.

He failed a Concussion Impact Test and there were rumours that he will be replaced by Kane tonight. It remains to be seen how that segment pans out.

SmackDown Women’s Championship Six-Pack Challenge

Becky Lynch is the first to make her way to the ring followed by Natalya. Naomi is next, with the glow-filled entrance of her.  And she is obviously - glowing.

Alexa Bliss joins the trio next as the crowd gets into the groove before the Princess of Staten Island enters.

We cut to when Carmella attacked Nikki Bella on SmackDown Live before following it with another assault at Talking Smack amidst the presence of Daniel Bryan.

And finally, the longest reigning WWE Diva's champion - Nikki - makes her way to the ring in her new - Supergirl outfit.

The six start brawling in the middle of the ring before, Becky and Naomi are the only 2 left in the middle.

Lynch works on Naomi before she fights back with a barrage of kicks. Lynch then launches Naomi out and goes for the top turnbuckle but is attacked by Carmella.

After some work Carmella pins Lynch for a two count. Nikki then enters the ring to confront Carmella but is attacked from behind.

Some more confusion in the middle of the ring before Alexa and Nikki are left alone.

Alexa stats to lose her temper after Nikki kicks out and slides out. The Irish Lass Kicker joins the action before Naomi also joins.

Carmella takes advantage of the situation and lands a Superkick on Naomi. Nikki enters the fray and lands a Spear first followed by the Alabama Slam for a near fall.

The Bella sister then takes The Princess of Staten Island to the top rope and Natalya comes back to convert it into a Superplex Powerbomb off the top.

After Lynch goes on a pinning spree, Naomi launches her from the springboard on the five women outside the ring.

Naomi from the top turnbuckle hits the Superplex buster powerbomb on Alexa Bliss in partnership with Natalya.

Naomi then pins Bliss for the three count. First elimination of the night.

Alexa Bliss eliminated by Naomi by pinfall

Naomi then tries to hit another springboard on Nikki, but she responds with a punch to the face.

Natalya then locks Naomi in the sharpshooter as she taps out.

Oh this is high-octane.

Natalya and Carmella looked to be teaming up against Bella, before Natalya hits a running lariat on Carmella. Nikki hits her finisher on Natalya before pinning her for the three count.

Carmella takes advantage of the situation and rolls Nikki for the three count.

I am unable to catch up with the speed of the match.. This is exhilarating stuff.

Becky and Carmella are the last two women left in the ring.  Carmella hits the Superkick before Becky locks Carmella in her submission move, Disarmer, for the win.

Back from the break and some more back and forth between the two. Crews then hits the Leaping Lariat to a huge pop from the crowd. He then follows it up with a splash but is reversed by Corbin.

Rumour: Randy Orton to miss BackLash due to injury

Ever since Randy Orton was annihilated at SummerSlam by Brock Lesnar, The Viper has been seen feuding with none other than The Eater of Worlds, Bray Wyat. The two have been cutting extensive promos, and good ones, on SmackDown Live! and their feud was expected to hit fever pitch at WWE BackLash – SmackDown’s first brand-exclusive pay-per-view.

With Backlash only a few hours away, reports are now coming that Randy Orton may not feature tonight and his match against Bray Wyatt will not happen tonight as The Viper has not been cleared by WWE’s medical team to participate due to a concussion.

The concussion was suffered by The Apex Predator in his match against Brock Lesnar, where The Beast Incarnate landed some lusty elbows on Orton to open up his forehead, which required 10 staples to close. The medical team was expecting the concussion to heal on time and had scheduled a late Concussion Impact test, however, the results were not encouraging.

It is now being reported by reputed journalist Dave Meltzer that Kane is the likely replacement for Orton to face Bray Wyatt at BackLash. The Big Red Machine was The Viper’s replacement at a recent live event in Raleigh, where he beat the Eater of Worlds in a clean finish.

The report has not been confirmed by the WWE as yet, but a pull out of this magnitude will surely be either confirmed or denied by the WWE very soon.

According to Meltzer, Orton – who was nursing a concussion – was expected to be cleared for tonight’s fight but it did not happen and hence he will not be competing tonight. Although, he did add that The Viper is present backstage at BackLash.
