WWE NXT Results 3/1/17, live updates

The Authors go for the double Powerbomb but both members of #DIY reverse it and lock in stereo submissions. As the Authors were on the verge of tapping, The Revival came out and wiped out #DIY.

The Revival wipe out everyone in sight and hit a Shatter Machine on Rayzar. What an end to this episode of NXT. Looks like we may get a triple threat at Orlando.

Cimapa tags in Gargano as #DIY look for the Superkick/Running knee combo. Achum drags Ciampa outside the ring and sends him crashing into the steel stemps as Rayzar powerbombs Gargano.

Gargano hits Achum with a superkick before #DIY powerbomb Rayzar. Rayzar kicks out at 22.

Gargano tags in Ciampa as they double team Achum. Ciampa follows it up with a massive boot before locking in the bridging Fujiwara Armbar. Rayzar breaks it up.

Ciampa finally manages to tag Gargano in. He hits Rayzar with an enzeguiri knocking him off the apron and follows it up with a senton from the apron on Achum.

Ciampa straight up slaps the big man but he gets double teamed by the Authors. Rayzar tries to pin him but he manages to kick out.

Achum tags Rayzar back in. The Authors have completely isolated Ciampa at this stage and things don't look good for #DIY> Ciampa tries to fight back but Achum replies with knees to the gut and clubbing blows to the back.

Rayzar tags in Achum as they two big men hit successive elbow drops. Achum then drives Ciampa into the turnbuckle and follows it up with a sidewalk slam.

Achum catches Ciampa in mid-air outside the ring and he slams Ciampa against the ringpost.

Rayzar and Ciampa start us off. These two guys aren't the friendliest and it shows. Ciampa actually looked to hit a German Suplex on Rayzar before he tagged in Gargano. They hit Rayzar with a double mid-rope spear before clotheslining Achum out of the ring.

Gargano and Ciamp are out first. They're followed out by the champions accompanied by Paul Ellering.

Authors of Pain (C) vs #DIY (for the NXT Tag-Team Championships)

Gargano and Ciamp get their contractual rematch as they face the Authors of Pain again for the NXT Tag-Team Championships in our main event tonight. Which one is Achum and which one is Rayzar? I still get confused sometimes.

Asuka locks in the Asuka Lock out of nowhere and Peyton Royce taps out in seconds.

Royce and Kay hammer Asuka after the match, driving her shoulder-first into the ring-post before working on her arm. Ember Moon comes out to the rescue and takes out both Kay and Royce. The fans scream "Thank you Ember" as Asuka gets back to her feet and they face off.

It looks like Asuka has her challenger for Orlando as she shoves her belt in Ember Moon's face.

Royce rolls Asuka up for a one count and follows it up with a running elbow strike to the back of Asuka's neck. The champ is down as Royce looks for the kill. She goes for the bridging Fisherman Suplex. She can't hit and instead hits a spinning head kick for a 2-count.

An enraged Asuka hits back with a spinning kick to the gut. The two women start trading forearms, a battle Asuka wins easily. She follows it up with a missile dropkick and a knee strike. The Empress follows this up with a strike combo and a running Shining Wizard for another nearfall.

Peyton Royce clubs Asuka before slapping her across the head dismissively. Huge mistake.

Royce pulls Asuka face-first into the ringpost. She then rolls Asuka into the ring and works on her arm.

Both Asuka and Royce look to hit their trademark kicks but both miss. Asuka follows it up with two hip attacks, the second of which sends Royce crashing off the apron.

Asuka and Peyton Royce chain wrestle in the opening stages of the match before backing off. They lock up again as Royce has Asuka in a headlock. Royce makes the mistake of shoving Asuka away and the Empress replies with strikes to the head.

Peyton Royce comes out first accompanied by the ever-present Billie Kay. She's followed out by the undefeated wrestling machine, Asuka.

Eric Young cuts a promo somewhere in the woods, warning Tye Dillinger not to drag his friends into their demise. Young wants to face Dillinger one on one.

Maluta briefly hits back with a spinning kick to the gut but Clark hits an old-school Famouser to pin Maluta.

A nice snap suplex by Clark as he continues dominating Maluta.

Clark hits back with stiff uppercuts and kicks. Those looked pretty brutal.

Maluta, who is related to Roman Reigns, goes for a handshake but Clark pushes him away by the face. Maluta follows up with a spinning heel kick and reverse Falcon Arrow which he follows up with a Shining Wizard for a nearfall.

NXT Women's Champion Asuka vs. Peyton Royce

The latest challenge to Asuka’s record-breaking reign as NXT Women’s Champion comes tonight, when The Empress of Tomorrow defends her title against Peyton Royce.In reent weeks, Royce and her cohort, Billie Kay, have been out to prove that they run NXT’s competitive Women’s division.

Though they weren’t successful in capturing the title at TakeOver: San Antonio, that hasn’t stopped either Royce or Kay from asserting their dominance by any means necessary.Royce won the right to challenge Asuka last week, defeating Liv Morgan and Ember Moon, thanks to timely interference from her close friend.

Could The Femme Fatale play a major role in this championship showdown? Can Royce bring an end to Asuka’s reign, or will The Empress of Tomorrow ensure her legend grows?

NXT Tag Team Champions The Authors of Pain vs. #DIY

Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa have been clamoring for their NXT Tag Team Championship rematch since falling to The Authors of Pain at TakeOver: San Antonio. They’ll get their opportunity tonight on NXT.Akam & Rezar have steamrolled over the competition since their arrival in NXT last year, and they were incredibly impressive in their win over #DIY in Texas last month.

Paul Ellering warned the challengers to make peace with their loved ones before this showdown. Gargano & Ciampa seemed to take that warning lightly, but there’s no doubt the joking will end when the NXT Tag Team Titles are on the line.
