WWE Payback 2017 Results, live updates; Plans for House of horrors match

Now that i've had a second to collect my thoughts again...as I was saying...it's been a pleasure to cover Payback for you. We hope you were entertained.

Wait...as Roman stumbles towards an ambulance in the parking area, a screaming Strowman tries to run through him out of nowhere! Roman just manages to sidesteps him and Strowman crashes through a door of an ambulance, cleanly unhinging it from the vehicle!

Roman manages to get back to his feet and repeatedly slams the other door on Strowman..sending the Monster into retreat as we cut to Raw Talk.

Wow.

That's quite a lot of blood there...as the medics and officials rush to help him onto a stretcher. Reigns refuses and opts to walk (struggle) out of the arena on his own two feet.

What a statement by Strowman. What an end to Payback.

Strowman isn't done, however, and brings the steel steps into the ring. He slams Roman face first onto it before crushing his ribs with a sickening blow from the steps.

Strowman raises his hands in vindictive triumph (even as the audience chant 'Thank you Strowman) and Reigns is left spitting out blood in the middle of the ring.

Roman goes limp, and Strowman hauls him onto his shoulder for a running powerbomb! Cover! 1-2-2.99999! Roman Reigns barely, barely manages to get his (good) shoulder up just in the nick of time.

Strowman hauls him up again, and hits the second running powerbomb! This time, it's game over for Roman.

Cover! 1-2-3!

Braun Strowman def. Roman Reigns via pinfall!

Reigns runs the ropes twice but before he can hit a potentially match-ending Spear, Strowman catches him mid-stride and locks in that head and arm choke variation that he does.

Roman briefly struggles, but there is no breaking Strowman's grip.

Oooooaaaaahhhhh! Reigns locks and loads....Superman Punch! Strowman staggers about...but he's still on his feet! Another Superman Punch and this time, Strowman goes to his knee!

The fight spills outside, where Roman chases Strowman and hits a Drive-by, but both men are down after that. The referee makes the 10 count, that Strowman barely makes into the ring before, only to be met by a Spear from Reigns!

Strowman clashes into the turnbuckle, and this allows Roman some leeway to find a foothold in the match. He tries to level the behemoth with a clothesline (nope) and when that fails, he slowly, agonizingly, harnessing every bit of Samoan strength in his body, gets Strowman on his shoulder and hits a Samoan Drop.

Strowman then opts to squeeze the breath and life, apparently, out of Reigns with a body lock from behind...but the Big Dog eventually makes it back up to his feet and sidesteps an onrushing Strowman twice!

That's it. Strowman in total control, and he's dishing out a vicious beatdown. He chokeslams him onto the Announcer's table, before sending him - injured shoulder first - onto the turnbuckle.

Reigns wastes no time in going straight after Strowman with right hands, before following up with a flying clothesline that decks him. But when he tries to hit a Drive By, Strowman plucks him out of thin air and slams him onto the barricade

Reigns' music hits next (Boos!) and the Big Dog walks out, left arm heavily bandaged and unmoving. Reigns is really selling an injury here...so let's just hope that he doesn't win :p

Roman Reigns vs Braun Strowman

We relive the Ambulance spot, and the trail of destruction that Strowman's left since through a vignette ( I swear WWE make the best promo videos in the world)

Strowman's music then hits, and the Monster among men makes his way to the ring.

Wait...it's the Bollywood Boyz! They rush Orton from behind but the WWE Champion manages to send them both careening over the ropes...but he doesn't see Jinder Mahal come from behind!

Remember, this match is No Holds Barred!

Mahal hits Orton with the WWE Title (that he made away with at SmackDown Live!) twice in the back of his head. That's enough interference for Bray to hit Sister Abigail!

Wyatt looks done here, as Orton fishes for another chair and introduces it - rudely - onto his back. Bray is rolled into the ring, and Orton stalks him...looking for the RKO!

Bray looks shocked and bullrushes him, but Orton sidesteps him and socks him with a chairshot! He then drags Wyatt outside, and hits a DDT off the announcer's table, onto the hard surface.

As the light comes back on...RANDY ORTON IS STANDING BEHIND BRAY, CHAIR IN HAND!

House of Horrors match contd.

Bray Wyatt's music hits and he walks out and into the ring, lantern in hand, but he seriously looks embattled here. The fight in the house must have taken its toll on him. Absolutely no sign of Orton, meanwhile.

We cut to a backstage segment, as a Limo drives up into Payback..and a depleted and exhausted Bray Wyatt stumbles out and walks towards the gorilla position.

He tries to get Joe up on his feet, but the Samoan quickly latches onto a Coquina Clutch! Rollins is in trouble...but just when it seems like he is fading, he pulls Joe over his shoulder almost like a Judo Throw and coverts the cluch into a roll-up pin attempt!

They jostle a bit for position in the middle of the ring, but somehow, Rollins hits Joe with a Falcon Arrow! Cover 1-2-Near fall!
Rollins can't put Joe away!

At his wits end, Rollins goes high again, and nails Joe with a Frog splash half way across the ring. Cover! 1-2-another near fall!

It culminates with a crossbody from the top rope and a pin attempt - that Joe easily kicks out of - prompting Rollins to go to the top rope again. But Joe's there this time, trying to thwart him from following through.

Rollins slides through and tries to hit a buckle bomb, but his knee gives way under the 280 pounds of Samoan Badassery.

Rollins does have some fight left in him as he hits a slingblade out of nowhere and goes on an unrelenting train of offence...almost in desperation

Nothing doing as Joe transitions into a Half Crab from a powerbomb-pin attempt that Rollins barely manages to kick out of. The sadistic Samoan is having his way with his opponent.

But it isn't enough to keep Rollins down as the Architect returns fire with a neckbreaker - it buys him enough time to climb onto the top rope but as he flies through the air, Joe catches him in mid air and hits a cross-knee driver!

Brutal!

Joe then clutches on to Rollins knee and twists it into a knee bar. Rollins' inordinate pain is plainly visible on his face, as he screams and writhes to fight out.

Rollins, however, fights back with a few knife edge chops of his own..but is cut off by the Jabs of Joe followed by a Pelle kick. Incredible agility for a man that size.

Joe finally goes to Rollins' injured knee with a dragonscrew across the middle rope and floors him...the Samoan is in control now. Joe dishes out further punishment with a Senton to the knee

Seth Rollins vs Samoa Joe

It's not professional, this is personal - apparently. Let's see just how badly each man wants to win this fight.

They lock up and both men land some early offence. Rollins with a couple of loud knife edge chops, Joe with those slick jabs...Rollins with a suicide dive, Joe with an irish whip on Rollins onto the barricade...Rollins hits a crossbody from inside the timekeeper's area and Joe responds with a suicide dive of his own.

All action here, to kick off this match between these two ring wizards

That seems to be it for Orton...as Wyatt stumbles out of the house, kneels in the front porch and proclaims with his hands outstretched...'Follow the Buzzards!'

He then sits in the Limo and tells the driver to take him to the arena, singing 'he's got the whole world in his hand' all the way...

We cut to Michael Cole talking with his co-commentators about what a freakshow the House of Horrors was...and it looks like we're moving on to the Samoa Joe - Seth Rollins match.

For all purposes, the WWE seems to have split the match up into segments. Good thinking, to be honest. I've loved it so far.

Orton looks unhinged here, as he traverses further through the house, calling out for Wyatt, when he chances upon him standing in the kitchen. It's Orton's turn to take the attack to Bray, as he sends him headfirst onto the sink and cupboards.

He's about to sock Wyatt in the back of the head using a frying pan when Bray manages to hit him with a low blow..as Orton gasps for air on the floor, he pushes the refrigerator on top of him!

As Orton gets back to his feet though, Bray has disappeared again. So he walks further into the house, only to see a room where baby dolls are suspended from the ceiling. As Orton inspects them, Bray blindsides him again and sends him crashing through the wall, exposing a pipe cavity!

Orton barely manages to kick him off but before he can get back to his feet again, Wyatt is gone. Nada. Poof. Disappeared.

Wyatt mutters some gibberish about how Orton 'took everything from him' as he lands blow after blow, forcing Orton to grab a vase that's been lying around and slam it against Wyatt's cranium.
