WWE RAW Results, 31st December 2018, Live Commentary & Updates; Shock winner in battle royal on RAW

That's it from me, Nishant, for tonight's RAW - the final RAW of 2018! Follow us tomorrow for SmackDown Live.

Here are the results from tonight's RAW:

- Drew McIntyre defeats Dolph Ziggler in a steel cage match
- Apollo Crews wins battle royal to face Dean Ambrose for the Intercontinental Championship
- Bayley, Sasha Banks, and Ember Moon defeat The Riott Squad
- Bobby Lashley defeats Seth Rollins by disqualification
- Jinder Mahal and The Singh Brothers defeat Heath Slater and Rhyno
- Dean Ambrose defeats Apollo Crews to retain the Intercontinental Championship
- Natalya and Ronda Rousey defeat Tamina and Nia Jax

Tamina goes to the top rope for the splash but Rousey gets her feet up and lands the armbar, and Tamina taps out!

Natalya and Ronda Rousey defeat Tamina and Nia Jax

Nia throws Rousey to the floor, face first, showcasing her strength and power; Jax goes for the pinfall but the RAW Women's Champion kicks out. Nia goes to the second rope to go for the Samoan Drop, but Rousey counters. Tamina, meanwhile, tags in and lands a huge superkick; Rousey somehow kicks out.

Tamina misses a headbutt and Rousey takes advantage by going for the armbar. Jax breaks the hold, but Natalya lands a blow on Jax, but Natalya is superkicked by Tamina.

Rousey then lands a huge right elbow to Nia's face but Jax kicks out once more.

Tamina is tagged in and she goes in with the chin lock. Natalya tries to get the tag but is pulled back by Tamina. She finally gets the tag, and Ronda goes in with a flurry of punches on Nia. She goes for the pinfall but Nia kicks out.

Back from the break, Nia is control, as she dominates Natalya. Natalya tries to fight back, but Nia has the advantage, throwing Natalya into the post.

Natalya goes for the sharpshooter but Jax pulls out Tamina. Ronda is tagged in and she lands a crossbody on Jax and Tamina on the outside.

Jax lands a splash on Ronda and then the body drop. Ronda and Nia get their tags. Natalya lands a dropkick on Tamina and then a suplex. She goes for the pinfall, but Tamina kicks out.

Next, we have a women's tag team match between the team of Ronda Rousey and Natalya, against Tamina and Nia Jax.

An angry Rousey goes on the offensive, attacking both women even before the match starts.

Ronda lands a few knees, while Tamina tags in Jax. Ronda immediately goes for the armbar! Rousey looks up for it tonight.

Backstage, Alexa Bliss announces the premiere of her talk show, next week on RAW, titled A Moment of Bliss. Next week's show will have WWE RAW Champion, Ronda Rousey, as her first guest.

... Ambrose just gets to the rope to break the pinfall. Crews goes to the top rope and tries to connect with the frog splash, but Ambrose moves out.

He then lands a Dirty Deeds to get the win.

Dean Ambrose defeats Apollo Crews to retain the Intercontinental Championship

Crews goes to the top rope and lands a crossbody and then the Shooting Star Press, but Ambrose kicks out once again! The champion looks a little dazzled.

Crews then lands an enzuguiri and a sit-up powerbomb, and could we have a new Intercontinental champion...

Crews lands a kick to Ambrose's face and then to the sternum of the Intercontinental champion; Crews then lands a Samoan Drop and goes for the pinfall, but Ambrose kicks out.

Back from the break, Ambrose has the advantage. He goes for the suplex, but Crews counters and goes to the outside.

Crews goes for the inside cradle, but Ambrose kicks out. Both men knock each other out in this Intercontinental Championship match.

Now, we have an Intercontinental Championship match between Dean Ambrose and Apollo Crews.

Crews goes on the attack right from the start with the dropkick. Crews then goes for two pinfalls but the Champ kicks out. He then lands a moonsault on the outside, as we head into a commercial break.

A distraction helps Jinder land a kick to the face of Rhyno and then the Khallas.

Jinder Mahal and The Singh Brothers defeat Heath Slater and Rhyno

Slater counters and gets the tag as Rhyno attacks and overpowers The Singh Brothers, and a double belly-to-belly suplex. Jinder is tagged in and Rhyno lands a spinebuster.

The brothers land a suplex on Slater, but Slater kicks out.

Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal start things off as Slater lands a few punches, but Mahal lands a clothesline. The Singh Brothers trade tags and go to work on Slater.

Next, we have a 3-on-2 handicap match as Jinder Mahal and The Singh Brothers face off against Heath Slater and Rhyno.

WWE have announced that John Cena will return to RAW on next week's show. Remember, Cena will be on this week's SmackDown!

Rollins lands blow after blow with a chair on Lashley's back and even hits Rush with the chair. Rollins stands true to his word of being ruthless once again!

He then goes to the top rope to land a flying clothesline, and then a kick to the mid section. Rush holds onto Rollins leg which almost helps Lashley win the match.

Rollins gets a roll-up cover, but Lashley kicks out; he then lands a kick to the neck of Lashley. Rush tries to interfere once again and this time Rollins follows him and throws him into the barricade. The distraction once again helps Lashley attack Rollins.

Bobby Lashley defeats Seth Rollins by disqualification.

Rollins counters with a few chops and punches, and then a Slingblade; he then lands two suicide dives on Lashley, on the outside.

Back from the break, Lashley is in control but Rollins fights back. Lashley uses his incredible power to throw Rollins into the turnbuckle, and he goes for the pinfall, but Rollins kicks out.

Rollins lands a few chops and then a kick to Lashley's head before he kicks him outside, and then a perfect crossbody. Lio Rush tries to distract Rollins which allows Lashley to take advantage. Lashley lands a few elbows on Rollins; he then gets a clothesline as Rollins is thrown out.

Lio Rush throws Rollins into the ringpost as Lashley distracted the referee, as we head into a break.

Rollins lands a dropkick and a few punches on Lashley at the start of the match, before he's thrown to the ground by Lashley.

Next, we have a match between Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley - a match which was announced by Triple H earlier tonight.

Another distraction helps Riott Squad take advantage; Bayley tags in and lands a huge elbow from the top rope and gets the pinfall.

Bayley, Sasha Banks, and Ember Moon defeat The Riott Squad.

Banks counters with a kick to the face of Morgan, who tags in Logan, but Banks can't get the cover.

Sasha is isolated by the Riott Squad as they double team but Banks kicks out. Logan lands a running knee on Banks, and looks to be down and out, but just about kicks out.

Morgan is tagged in and throws Banks' face head first. She tries to go for the pinfall thrice, but Banks kicks out.

Banks goes for the cover but Morgan kicks out. A distraction from the Riott Squad helps Morgan to take advantage. Ruby Riott goes for the pinfall on Banks, but she kicks out.

Back from the break, Bayley uses an armdrag to take Ruby Roitt down. Riott counters but Bayley lands kicks to the face of Riott; Morgan is now tagged in, and Banks and Moon exchange tags.

Logan tags in and Ruby is then tagged in, all three go to work on Moon with some kicks, and Bayley and Banks enter to attack, as we head into an ad break.

Moon puts Riott in a headlock, while Liv Morgan tags in and goes for the pinfall by Moon kicks out.

Banks lands Logan's head on the turnbuckle; Bayley is tagged in and then Ember Moon is tagged in. Ruby Riott tags in and Moon goes to work with some quick moves followed by a dropkick.

The Riott Squad go to work on Bayley, lands a crossbody and tags Banks, who goes for the pinfall, as Sarah Logan just kicks out.

Next. we have a six-woman tag team match between the Riott Squad, and the team of Bayley, Sasha Banks, and Ember Moon.

Corbin rushes backstage following his brawl with Elias.

Elias sings his usual song, but Corbin is annoyed after hearing it for a while. Elias and Corbin attack each other, brawling in the audience area.

In the ring, Baron Corbin says Apollo Crews' win was not fair, and goes on to speak about the boos that he gets every week and that his job as RAW GM was hard.

Elias interrupts Corbin, and says Corbin's time is up.

Natalya is interviewed backstage and recollects her year, and says that she's going to enter the 2019 Royal Rumble. Nia Jax interrupts her backstage, and Jax and Tamina attack Natalya.
