Welcome to Sportskeeda's coverage of the WWE Royal Rumble as we head into the show at the end of what has been one of the most impactful weeks in wrestling history.  With changes clearly afoot in WWE, who will emerge as the top contender for the WrestleMania spot from the Men's and Women's Royal Rumble? Are there any changes we are set to see? Is there going to be a return that we can't forget? For all this and more stay tuned right here for Rumble updates.  We're kicking off the Royal Rumble with a video package featuring Hulk Hogan of all people, talking about how great this Rumble is going to be.  You heard me right, BROTHER.  Sigh, let's just get this underway.  WWE BOTCHES AND SHOWS ROXANNE'S VIDEO FOR RANDY ORTON Roxanne's video playing for Randy Orton means that she's probably set to be part of the Women's Rumble.  Pat McAfee is here and things are already big.  Corey Graves is furious. We're starting off with the Women's Royal Rumble. Women's Royal Rumble Match No. 1 Entry: Natalya No. 2 Entry: NAOMI ANOTHER HUGE RETURN NAOMI IS BACK IN WWE! Naomi squares off against her old best friend, Natalya. Both women have a TOUGH job in front of them with 28 other women waiting to come in.  OOOOOH No. 3 is BAYLEY The crowd wants her to be their girl tonight, but the night has just started.  Natalya and Bayley work together before things break down, and it's a brawl for all... NOT THAT ONE.  No. 4 is Candice LeRae No. 5 is JORDYNNE GRACE WHAT???????????????????????? Grace and Naomi go at it. Grace is showing her power right now.  No. 6: Indi Hartwell Indi's in now, and there can be some team-ups with Candice and her working together.  No eliminations yet.  Jordynne Grace is here No. 7:  ASUKA NEXT! Asuka and Bayley are working together now and clearly plan to clear the rest of the field.  Asuka almost eliminated by Hartwell, but Bayley takes her out. Indi Hartwell is eliminated. No. 8: IVY NILE No. 9 Katana Chance She's here and is ready to show her athleticism. It will be interesting to see what she does next. Grace is doing well right now.  No. 10: Bianca Belair Two former Rumble winners are in now with Asuka and Belair.  Bianca Belair is taking it to everyone, hitting everyone with massive moves. Bayley, LeRae, and Chance, all taken out and hit with a Moonsault.  No. 11 Kairi Sane Three members of Damage CTRL now in. They are looking like the ones to beat right now.  Bayley almost sent out by Candice, but Damage CTRL eliminate LeRae.  No. 12: Tegan Nox is in next.  She's taking out everyone at this time but Grace picks her up and almost eliminates her. Natalya comes back and hits the Clothesline. Natalya tries to throw out her friend, but NOX THROWS HER OUT. BAYLEY THROWS NOX OUT.  No. 13 Kayden Carter is in next while Nox and Natalya sit unhappy ringside. KAIRI SANE SAVES HERSELF FROM ELIMINATION BY THE SKIN OF HER TEETH. ASUKA TRIES TO SAVE HER BUT GETS ELIMINATED.  No. 14: Chelsea Green is in next. She's not going anywhere.  Grace and Belair go toe to toe, and Grace almost gets eliminated and powers her way back into the ring.  No. 15: Piper Niven is in next to try and help Chelsea. Chelsea gets thrown out and Piper catches her.  She's still in. We are halfway through.  No. 16: Xia Li is in next No. 17: Zelina Vega is in and she's wearing gear that appears to be inspired by Megatron No. 18: Maxxine is in next and she's shushing her opponents Zelina Vega seems to be wearing Megatron inspired costumes THE MOST DANGEROUS WOMAN MAY HAVE ENTERED THE RUMBLE. Nia Jax at No. 19 Xia Li and Ivy Nile are gone already. Two eliminations. Nia flattens Piper and Chelsea. Piper attacks Nia, but Chelsea is the one flattened.  Nia headbutts Piper and is about to take her out but slams her on Chelsea who looks unconscious. Naomi hits an Enzuigiri and Nia falls on Chelsea who is really not enjoying any of this. No. 20: Shotzi is in next All the women try to eliminate Nia Jax but she throws them all away. The power is unbelievable.  Bayley eliminates Maxxine Dupri and Nia eliminates Piper Niven.  Katana Chance tossed out of the ring.  No. 21: BECKY LYNCH OH MY Becky and Nia's story is personal. She's come in and changed everything, attacking Zelina, Bayley, Nia, and Chelsea Green.  Becky Lynch throws Chelsea out.  Now, it's time for ALBA FYRE at No. 22.  The commentary team said Bayley is hurt and limping. Is it serious? No. 23: Shayna Baszler is in next.  She goes after everyone and is physically taking everyone out. She judo flips Nia as well.  R-Truth enters the ring R-Truth thought that he was part of the Rumble but was confused to find only women. Valhalla enters and gets eliminated distracted by R-Truth.  No 27: ROXANNE PEREZ IS IN She's in the best spot and is talking to Zoey Stark.  Valhalla's 5-second elimination was a big upset Jax eliminates Baszler. She's having the dominant performance. She throws out Mia Yim as well.  NO. 28: JADE CARGILL She is the most sought-after free agent in WWE and she's here and confronting Nia Jax.  Cargill just picked up Nia and eliminated her. Becky is as surprised.  Another big appearance: No. 29 - Tiffany Stratton! This is TIFFY TIME! ANOTHER HUGE RETURN AT NO. 30: LIV MORGAN IS BACK FROM INJURY Zoey Stark and Roxanne are eliminated. Things are picking up now. Everyone to enter has entered.  Belair and Cargill face off and take out Morgan and Becky before squaring off.  Becky is almost eliminated by Cargill, but Naomi hits her with the dropkick. Becky is eliminated as is Naomi. JADE dominating.  Bayley throws out Tiffany and Belair.  We're down to Cargill, Bayley, and Morgan.  The three are fighting on the apron. Morgan THROWS OUT CARGILL. BAYLEY THROWS OUT MORGAN! BAYLEY WINS! BAYLEY WINS! Becky Lynch crying at ringside. Bayley has done it.  Will she challenge Rhea Ripley or IYO SKY? The power is now in Bayley's hands.  WWE Universal Championship Match: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Randy Orton vs. LA Knight vs. AJ Styles The match starts now.  The focus is on beating down Roman Reigns. All three beat him down. Now, LA Knight and AJ Styles face each other while Orton goes after Reigns. LA Knight and Orton start facing off now with the two going at it.  Randy throws Roman into the steps. He's hurt.  Orton throwing Reigns into the steps seems to have hurt him. WWE cut away from Reigns while the referee checked on him.  Roman has control again, coming back in and taking everyone out. He has beaten down Knight and the arrogance is showing for the first time today.  Heyman has been at ringside looking on as the other three battle in the ring. Reigns does not even need to be pinned to lose this.  Superplex by Knight takes out Styles.  FINISHER ON ROMAN BY KNIGHT. AJ BREAKS THE PIN.  STYLES CLASH ON REIGNS AND IT'S ALMOST OVER BUT THE PIN IS BROKEN UP.  Orton with the Double Rope DDT on Knight. Orton is now ready for the RKO. Styles is ready for the Phenomenal Forearm. Orton with the RKO ON STYLES! on KNIGHT! on REIGNS! He pins Reigns. SOLO SIKOA DRAGS THE REFEREE OUT.  SIKOA HITS EVERYONE WITH SPIKES The crowd is furious. Sikoa has ruined it, NO! AJ STYLES WITH THE PHENOMENAL FOREARM ON REIGNS AND ALMOST GETS THE WIN.  Sikoa ran through a barricade and is out.  AJ hits everyone with chairs, but Randy takes it away. Randy was hit with a spear. LA Knight with the elbow on Reigns.  Roman throws LA into Styles and then a Superman Punch to LA Knight and a Spear to Styles. It's over. Roman Reigns retains  Kevin Owens vs. Logan Paul for the United States Championship It's time for the title to be put on the line.  It's finally time for Logan Paul to put his money where his mouth is.  What a night.  Can he beat Kevin Owens? Owens chops Paul and hits him with a suplex. KO has complete control of this match.  Paul goes after the injured hand but gets clotheslined and hit with a senton on the outside.  Paul takes control back and hits a crossbody and an Octopus.  Owens and Paul are going at it, with them both slugging it out and neither getting the better of the other, until Owens finally hits two back-to-back cannonballs in the corner. He goes to the top turnbuckle and hits the frog splash for the near fall.  Owens' arm is hurt.  Paul gets his knees up on the next dive, but Owens also gets out of the way of the Swanton Bomb.  A Buckshot Lariat by Logan Paul. Wow. Well, Adam Page, are you watching? Paul tries to suplex Owens, but he reverses with the modified brainbuster.  KO tries the popup powerbomb and the stunner, but Paul reverses with the big right hand. KO still kicks out.  A guy from Logan Paul's entourage shows up. Security show up to eject him.  Austin Theory slips Logan Paul the Brass Knuckles. Grayson Waller is there too. Owens rips the knuckles off Paul's hands and hits him with them. He was about to win the match, but the referee sees the knuckles and DQs him. Logan Paul wins via DQ Owens puts Paul through the table. Doctors and referees check on him. It's time for the Men's Royal Rumble Match. CM Punk is shown warming up. What number will he enter at? It's starting. The match begins now. No. 1 Main Event Jey Uso At number 2, it's Jimmy Uso. The brothers have to do battle. Yeet and No Yeet chants ring out as the two go at each other. Jimmy is almost eliminated but hangs on.  Grayson Waller comes in next at  No. 3 Before Waller can enter, he gets superkicked off the apron. He comes in and hits the Flatliner on Jey and then teams up with Jimmy to go after Jey.  ANDRADE EL IDOLO IS BACK. NO. 4 At No. 5, it's Carmelo Hayes. This show is shaping up to be huge.  So far no one has been eliminated and everyone's doing well right now.  AND JUST LIKE THAT, WALLER GOT ELIMINATED BY CARMELO HAYES.  At No. 6 it's Shinsuke Nakamura.  He's ready and in. He goes after everyone now.  Santos Escobar is in next and things are shaping up to be huge.  Andrade and Santos face off and it seems that they are friends, but Andrade may not agree. He's not too happy. He tries to eliminate Andrade but he almost throws him out.  Karrion Kross in at No. 8. He goes after everyone and is trying to dominate.  At No. 9, it's Dominik Mysterio.  He's here.  Dominik takes his time and is in no hurry to get into the ring. Calling Karrion Kross timeless - that's a reference to Timeless Toni eh.  Carlito is out now and goes after Escobar who leaves the ring. He goes after everyone else in the ring instead.  Carlito bites an apple but hangs on when Escobar tries to throw him out. He spits in Escobar's eyes and tosses him out of the ring. Bobby Lashley is in next and he's just running through people. He speared the stomach out of Dominik. Carlito got thrown out.  Kross thrown out too.  AOP comes in as a distraction and Kross eliminates Lashey. That fight is heading to the back, as Ludwig Kaiser comes in next at No. 12.  With Lashley and Kross and Carlito all gone, as well as Escobar, the ring is suddenly emptier.  Austin Theory is in next and Pat McAfee is not too happy with him.  Dominik is getting backup from his friends, with Finn Balor in next. Carmelo Hayes gets thrown out and now things are swinging in favor of The Judgment Day.  Cody hits the Cody Cutter and throws Theory outside. Balor and Dominik go after Cody and he's in trouble now.  Bronson Reed is in next and throwing people around like they are made of cardboard.  Kofi Kingston is in, and he's eliminated Kaiser. Now, it's time for the big favorite of the night, GUNTHER at No. 18.  Gunther is upset with Ludwig for being eliminated. Fractures there.  Gunther eliminates Kofi Kingston.  Ivar is in next and now Bronson and Ivar exchange blows. But who's in at No. 20? BRON BREAKKER OH NOOOOOOO. HE'S HERE Bron Breakker eliminates Finn Balor and Jimmy Uso. He's throwing people right out. Confronts GUNTHER.  Omos is in at No. 21.  He's going to destroy everyone.  Pat McAfee is in next and faces Bron Breakker and Omos. Pat climbs over the top rope and lets them fight but then enters again. He eliminates himself. Only he can do that.  BRON BREAKKER ELIMINATES OMOS. DOMINIK ELIMINATES BRON BREAKKER. WHAT?? R-Truth is in next and throws JD into the ring who immediately gets eliminated. That's like a 1 second elimination. Truth tries the John Cena moves on Gunther and gets beaten down. No. 25 is in now.  The Miz.  The Miz attacks Gunther and is going at him. He gets thrown back and almost taken out but hits the Ring General with the DDT.  He and R-Truth face off and decide to work together, taking out Jey.  Damian Priest is in next.  He immediately hits Truth and eliminates him. Priest takes out everyone and then chokeslams Gunther.  CM Punk is here at No. 27. This is a great spot for him and he could do it.  At No. 28 is Ricochet. He gets almost thrown out by Priest.  Drew is going after Priest and Jey gets some energy and hits Gunther with the Spear. Gunther is almost eliminated but hangs on. JEY falls out.  Oh, a big return! SAMI ZAYN IS IN AT NUMBER 30! Drew throws Ricochet out and completely hits hard. The last six. CM Punk, Gunther, Drew McIntyre, Sami Zayn, Cody Rhodes, Damian Priest.  Everyone's hitting their signature moves and Sami hits the Helluva Kick on Drew. Priest is eliminated by SAMI! McIntyre throws Sami out! Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins are looking on as this match is finally decided. Cody is hurt and facing Gunther, while Drew is going after Punk.  Drew misses the claymore on Punk but hits Gunther and Cody Rhodes Now he tries to go after Punk again. This time he hits him. He's dominating. McIntyre lifts up Punk, but PUNK THROWS HIM OUT! LAST THREE Gunther IS ELIMINATED!!!!!! CM Punk and Cody exchange blows. It's one of the two. Both are doing all they can now.  CM Punk sends Cody into the corner and Irish Whips him. Powerslam by Cody.  Things are changing. Will he FINISH HIS STORY? High Knee by Punk and he thinks it's over and his time. He's ready.  Cody Rhodes almost hits the Cross Rhodes.  ELBOW.  Is it time? Cody hangs on. These two are trying their best now.  CROSS RHODES. Is this the end? GTS ON RHODES! IS THAT IT? Cody tries to hang on and CM Punk almost falls. The two are giving it everything.  CM PUNK WITH THE PEDIGREE HE'S DONE IT. CM PUNK HIT THE PEDIGREE BUT CODY THREW HIM OUT. HE'S WON IT.  CODY RHODES WINS THE ROYAL RUMBLE 2024 Cody Rhodes is heading to WrestleMania and he clearly has his story to finish now.  Roman Reigns is furious and is shouting from the rafters at Cody Rhodes.
