02:00 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Thank you for joining us for SmackDown Live! Make sure you join us for SummerSlam as well! Till then, SK out \m/

01:59 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

But he's not done as he he sets up the announcer's table and puts Styles through it with an AA! Cena poses as SmackDown goes off air.

01:58 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Styles goes for the Styles Clash, but John Cena reverses it and lands an AA!

01:58 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Wait! Styles hits him with the Phenomenal Forearm out of nowhere. He stands over him and says that he is sick of hearing that the future goes through John Cena. He also says that he will beat him at SummerSlam and that it is his time now!

01:56 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Cena recovers and tries to hit the AA but Del Rio counters it into a cross-armbreaker. Cena powers out and hits the AA this time. 1-2-3! John Cena wins!

01:55 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Cena tries for the STF but Del Rio hits a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker to floor him. Cena tries to go high risk but is met by a step-up enzugiri. Del Rio kicks John Cena straight to the face, but its only a 2 count.

01:54 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Del Rio tries to go high risk but Cena turns the tables and is unloading with his 5 moves of doom. Del Rio lands a Backstabber and tries to follow up with a kick to the head that is stopped by Cena.

01:48 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

He follows that up with a roundhouse kick to the back, before hitting a DDT in the centre of the ring. 2 count!

01:47 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Cena gets a second wind and tries to unload on Del Rio in the corner, but the Mexican counters and sends Cena body first into the turnbuckles.

01:46 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Cena tries to hit an AA, but Del Rio counters it into a German Suplex and follows it up with a running boot to his face.

01:45 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Del Rio takes advantage of a staredown between AJ and John Cena during the break, taking control of the match with a kick to the mid section. He tries to follow up with a double leg kick through the ropes, but Cena ducks out of the way.

01:41 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Cena and Del Rio lock up, as Cena opens with a hip toss that sends the Mexican packing out of the ring to regroup. "Cena in control as we head into the break" - Ranallo

01:38 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

ADR is out first, followed by John Cena, to a pretty raucous reaction I must say. Now that he isn't the centrepiece of the WWE, it does seem like the fans have taken to him a bit more than usual.

01:37 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

AJ Styles is ringside, joining the commentary team, here to 'scout' John Cena in his match against Alberto Del Rio.

01:31 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Naomi, Carmella and Becky Lynch team together to meet Eva Marie, Alexa Bliss and Natalya at SummerSlam in a 6 Women tag team match. Excited?

01:29 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

They air a promo about Randy Orton and Brock Lesnar. This should be a good match at SummerSlam. Will the Beast prevail or will the Legend Killer resurface?

01:25 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

We cut to a backstage segment that sees Baron Corbin holding Kalisto's head to the wall and literally bullying him. So much for the anti-bullying  campaign eh? The referees and officials intervene to provide respite to Kalisto.

01:21 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Oops. Naomi comes out and chases Eva Marie around the ring as Ms. All Red Everything hightails. Becky uses the disraction to get Natalya to tap out and gets the victory. Sweet. Still no proper action involving Eva Marie though.

01:19 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

After a sequence of attacks, Becky gets a 2 count on Natalya, but oh wait. It's Eva Marie with that corny introduction that basically sings her praises in extremely glorifying fashion.

01:16 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Carmella creates separation with a jaw breaker before tagging in Becky who unloads on Natalya( who was tagged in by Alexa)

01:16 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Carmella starts off against Natalya and in out pretty quickly that Natty is no pushover in the ring. Natalya tags in Alexa who stands on Carmella. Yes, you read that right. She stands on her before attempting a chin lock.

01:14 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Natalya teams with Alexa Bliss to take on Carmella and Becky Lynch

01:11 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Is this the end of Wyatt Family?

01:09 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Bray Wyatt deserves a single push. This is a good development.

01:08 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Bray seems to walk away as Rowan looks to recuperate. He drops the sheep mask on the armchair almost as if to signify that this is the end of the Wyatt family

01:07 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Spinning heel kick from Rowan ('Big bearded mountain' says JBL) floors Ambrose and the big man looks to capitalize but is met with a Dirty Deeds out of nowhere. 1-2-3! Ambrose wins as Bray looks on, unflinchingly, from outside.

01:05 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Rowan tries to kick Ambrose's head off in the corner but Dean moves away just in time before hitting a back suplex. He goes to the top turnbuckle and hits an elbow for the 2 count.

01:03 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Rowan looks to reverse the momentum as he sends Ambrose into the barricade and applies a headlock inside the ring to keep the WWE Champion under control.

01:03 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Dean Ambrose is out next to face Erick Rowan. Rowan tries to rough up Ambrose early but is sent outside, followed by a suicide dive by the Champ.

01:01 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Well technically Orton did get disqualified, so Shane and Bryan come to offer a banged up Heath Slater a contract for SmackDown...until he confuses Daniel Bryan with Mick Foley and Shane McMahon with Stephanie. Contract duly revoked. Way to go Slater :p

00:53 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Instead of landing an RKO, he lands a couple of German Suplexes and mocks Lesnar before putting a full stop to the punishment with an emphatic RKO

00:51 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Randy Orton hits a draping DDT to Slater off the barricade as the crowd chants for a RKO. Orton sends Slater into the ring and stalks him

00:50 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

This is the Randy Orton we love. That mean streak seems to be unleashed as the referee calls for the bell due to unrelenting aggression from the Viper.

00:49 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Heath Slater is out next, to fight Orton. Randy shows no mercy to Slater, injured though he seems after getting dismantled by Lesnar.

00:47 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Randy Orton's music hits as the Viper makes his way out. Will Lesnar show up? Or will it be another beatdown for Heath Slater?

00:43 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Dean Ambrose versus Erick Rowan is announced for tonight. Should be a good match, if only for the fact that it allows Bray Wyatt to get involved. #GiveBrayADamnTitle

00:41 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

I don't know what's worse; the reasons Creative is coming up with for having Eva Marie not compete or JBL's staunch support of her reasons. Go figure.

00:40 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Wow, it seems Eva Marie cannot compete today due to getting stuck in traffic.

00:38 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Naomi comes out next. All neon everything. And Eva Marie is out next. What's her excuse today?

00:33 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

The American Alpha finish off the match by taking out English and pinning him clean 1-2-3 as Jey Uso cleans house with a toupe over the top rope. Quick match, but Alpha get over as intended.

00:31 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

We cut back to action as Jimmy Uso comes in and unloads on Aiden English. Jason Jordan tags himself in and hits the Alpha Plex on English. This is followed by a finisher barrage from almost all the Superstars involved.

00:26 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Viktor starts by bullying around Chad Gable, who reverses and tags in Mojo Rawley. Wait. All 12 of them are into the ring. Chaos ensues as we head into a break.

00:24 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

And we have the 12 man Tag Team Spectacular next, as the teams come out to the ring one by one. This should be an eventful match. Whether it would be good is another question entirely. Let's hope so.

00:22 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Apollo Crews hits the Miz with the spinning powerbomb during the break, as he refuses to call him by his actual name and continues referring to him as Apollo Creed. Original -.-

00:16 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

That is a heel turn for Ziggler unless I'm much mistaken. Wow. What a passionate promo by him.

00:15 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Ziggler probably cuts the best promo of his life and superkicks Dean Ambrose out of nowhere. He walks out of the ring saying 'This Sunday, you're going to realise that I am that damn good'

00:12 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

This is such an engaging segment to begin SmackDown with.

00:12 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Ambrose retorts by saying that even if Ziggler wins at SummerSlam, nothing changes. He says the pressure gets turned up in big moments; something Ziggler can't handle.

00:10 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Dean Ambrose says he doesn't buy into Ziggler's 'new found laser focus', which gets Ziggler to cut a passionate promo about how he's snapped after years of getting ignored by the WWE.

00:09 (GMT)17 AUG 2016

Miz talks about Ziggler's career resurgence of late, and asks him what happens if he loses at SummerSlam? Ziggler says he isn't bothered about all that. He says the only thing that matters is SummerSlam itself, and the WWE Championship.
