WWE SmackDown Live Results (27th January, 2023): Brock Lesnar attacks former WWE Champion, Sami Zayn defies Roman Reigns

Solo Sikoa uses the distraction to his KO with a steel chair. KO hits back with a superkick and follows it up with a pop-up powerbomb into the table. KO has a steel chair and turns to Sami Zayn. Instead he slams Solo Sikoa with it. He turns back to his former best friend but throws down the chair, refusing to hit him.

KO now nails the Frog Splash but Solo kicks out at two and a half. Solo is back up and misses a splash in the corner. Owens takes him down with a superkick and follows it up with a canonball. He heads up top again and hits a perfect Swanton Bomb. KO is about to pin Solo but its Sami! Sami defies Roman's order and shows up on SmackDown to pull Solo out of the ring.

MATCH ENDS IN DQ

We're back. KO is down in the corner and we have Solo going in for a hip attack. He can't hit it and crashes into the turnbuckle. KO takes Solo down and heads to the top rope. Solo is back on his feet and hits KO with a right. He follows it up with a series of headbutts and meets KO on the top rope. Solo goes for a superkick but KO blocks it and sends Solo crashing down.

KO follows Solo Sikoa out to ringside. Solo turns the tables and slams KO into the barricade as we cut to a commercial break. Don't go anywhere, we'll be right back.

Kevin Owens vs Solo Sikoa

This one is going to be a slobberknocker. Both men are going hard at each other as soon as the bell rings. They try multiple shoulder charges but no one goes down. KO eventually takes Solo down and hits a senton. Solo is forced to leave the ring.

MAIN EVENT TIME: It will be Kevin Owens vs Solo Sikoa. The Usos have already been kicked out of the building.

Charlotte Flair is backstage. She asks Adam Pearce to give Sonya Deville a shot at her title to put this issue behind her for good. Pearce agrees. The match is set for next week's SmackDown.

Vinci and Kaiser hit the uppercut into the Imperial Bomb and that's enough for the duo to pick up the win.

Imperium def. Legado del Fantasma

Vinci and Kaiser will now face Braun Strowman and Ricochet in the final.

Kaiser bodyslams Del Toro at ringside as Vinci and Wilde are perched on the top rope. Vinci seems to have hurt his knee on the way down and tags Kaiser in.

Del Toro is all over Vinci. He now shows off his athleticism, flying over the top rope and taking out both Imperium members. Wilde tags back in and hits a Splash off the top rope. Kaiser breaks up the cover.

Imperium vs Legado Del Fantasma

The second semi-final in the tag-team tournament is about to start. Ludwig Kaiser and Joaquin Wilde start things off. Kaiser works over the arm before it gets turned around. Kaiser wrenches the arm before eating a chop. Vinci and Del Toro tag in. It's all Cruz Del Toro early on but Vinci wipes him out with a lariat.

Bray now appears on the entrance ramp. He says that LA Knight will finally get what he wants tomorrow and finally get to meet Uncle Howdy. Uncle Howdy appears in the arena.

LA Knight calls out Bray and Undertaker for attacking him last week. He says they didn't have it in them to take on him one on one.

The fireflies are out as Bray Wyatt walks out but it turns out to be LA Knight cosplaying his opponent tomorrow.

The Usos are leaving the building after the confrontation. Jey calls up someone, potentially Sami Zayn and says he needs a favour.

Kevin Owens is talking to Kayla Braxton backstage about his match tonight against Solo Sikoa and his title shot tomorrow against Roman Reigns. The Usos show up and it looks like they are about to get into it. However, Adam Pearce has more foresight than me and shows up with a load of referees and separates the three men.

Strowman tags in! He clears house taking out Top Dolla before turing his attention to Ashante, taking the latter down with a huge backdrop. Strowman then hits a monstrous powerbomb and pins Ashante for the win.

Braun Strowman and Ricochet def. Hit Row

Top Dolla tags in and is all over Ricochet. They trade tags. B-Fab hits Ricochet with a cheapshot from ringside as Ashante locks in a headlock. Hit Row take tags isolating Ricochet.

Hit Row look shocked after seeing Strowman standing across the ring from them but it's Ricochet who starts the match. He takes Ashante out before going for a dive but Top Dolla blocks it. Top Dolla eats a boot to the head for his troubles. B-Fab manages to distract Ricochet for long enough for Ashante to take control.

Hit Row have made their way down for the match. They want a free pass to the finals but Adam Pearce refuses. He says there is a replacement team. It turns out to be Braun Strowman and his pal Ricochet!

Sheamus and Drew McIntyre are making their way down to the ring for their match but are ambushed from behind by the Viking Raider. Ivar and Erik destroy Sheamus and Drew ahead of their semi-final match. Ivar hits flying crossbodys to both men against the barricade. We have officials and referees out here stop the assault.

We get a vignette for Cody Rhodes ahead of his return tomorrow at the Royal Rumble.

After the match, Evans take the mic and says she will win the women's Royal Rumble tomorrow by eliminating 29 other women. She then tosses Jazmin over the top rope.

Lacey Evans vs Jazmin Allure

Lacey Evans is back after months as she comes out next and faces Jazmin Allure. Lacey takes her opponent down and calls her "nasty". Evans hits a pump kick before taking off the sole of her boot and going to slap Jazmin with it. The referee stops her. Evans follows it with a straight right hand to Jazmin's gut before hitting the Woman's Right. She then locks in the Cobra Clutch for the win.

We get another WWE digital exclusive with Rhea Ripley. Rhea says she's come close to winning the WWE Royal Rumble but 2023 will be her year.

Brock takes the mic after taking Lashley out. He announces that he will see Bobby Lashley at the Royal Rumble! It looks like Lesnar just confirmed he will be in the Royal Rumble match tomorrow!

It's Brock Lesnar! He shows up through the crowd and hits Lashley with an F5.

Miz and Theory jump Kofi and Woods and go right after them. Bobby Lashley's music hits. We have another RAW star on SmackDown! Lashley clears the ring by taking everyone out! He takes out all 4 men.

Woods and Kofi laugh at Theory for saying he will win the Royal Rumble. Woods and Kofi feel like they have a better chance of winning. The Miz's music hits. Another RAW star is on the blue brand tonight. Miz says he's older, smarter and wiser than Theory. He then says that he will be the one to win the Royal Rumble match, as Kofi and Woods laugh at him.

We're back with Theory in the ring. He makes a bold proclamation, saying that he will win the Royal Rumble. The New Day's music hits at this point and the NXT Tag-Team Champions are out on stage. Kofi says there are there are only 3 Austin's he respects - Austin Creed (Woods), Stone Cold and Austin, TX, where he lives. Woods asks Theory not to waste time because SmackDown is a two hour show.

We get a Digital Exclusive with Bayley and Damage CTRL. They say that when they enter the ring at the women's Royal Rumble, no other female Superstar will stand a chance.

Rey with a Frog Splash off the top! Only a two-count. Mysterio then rolls up Karrion Kross and manages to pin him! Kross looks shocked. The look on his face is priceless.

Karrion Kross takes control during the break, hitting Rey Mysterio with a chokeslam into the barricade. The two men are now perched on the turnbuckle as Karrion Kross tries and fails to rip off Rey's mask. Kross tries to charge at Rey but he moves out of the way and hits a 619.

The legendary Luchador and Royal Rumble winner kicks off SmackDown against Karrion Kross. Kross is accompanied to the ring by Scarlett as usual. Both men go back and forth as the match begins.

SmackDown kicks off with Sami Zayn and Jey Uso meeting in secret outside the venue. Roman had asked Sami not to be at SmackDown today but Sami meets Jey outside to thank him for his support last week.
