WWE SmackDown Live Results, December 19th 2017, Live Updates and Commentary - Dolph Ziggle celebrates his US Championship win

Nakamura transitioned into the armbar but Owens came in and hit the senton to break it up. Orton flung Owens out of the ring before Jinder hit him with a DDT. Styles came in and wiped Jinder out before hitting Owens with a Phenomenal Forearm. The Singh Brothers got ejected at his point when Orton hit Jinder with an RKO.

Orton followed it up with a draping DDT to both Singhs. Nakamura followed it with a Kinshasa to Zayn for the win.

Nakamura caught Zayn with a single-legged dropkick before taking Owens out with a boot to the back of the head. Nakamura followed it with brutal strikes to Zayn followed by the Good Vibrations in the corner.

KO rolled Styles back in and hit a senton before driving his knee into Styles' face and tagging in Sami Zayn. Zayn worked Styles over before tagging in Jinder. AJ bought himself some time by hitting Jinder with a Tornado DDT from the top rope. Both men made tags as Zayn and Nakamura became the legal men.

We came back from commercial to see Owens in control of Orton with a head lock. Orton made his way back to his feet and sidestepped Owens as he charged. Owens crashed shoulder-first into the ringpost as AJ got tagged in. Jinder used his ring awareness to hold the ropes apart as Styles looked to bounce off, sending him crashing out.

Styles took Zayn down with a head scissors and tagged Orton back in. Orton flung Sami onto the top rope and Zayn was forced to tag Jinder back in. Jinder caught Orton with a cheapshot before taking him down with an elbow. Simple but effective. One knee drop later, Mahal tagged in Owens.

Zayn worked on Nakamura's arm before the Rockstar acrobatically broke free. Nakamura pulled a strand of Zayn's chest hair out before hitting a knee to the mid-section and tagging in AJ Styles.

Orton hit Mahal with a backdrop onto the announcer's table before rolling him back into the ring. He attempted an early RKO before hitting Jinder with a lariat. Orton tagged Nakamura in before Jinder powered Nakamura into his team's corner and tagging in Sami Zayn.

Jinder and Orton started for their teams respectively. Orton went in and hit Zayn with a cheapshot before things broke down quickly.

Kofi leapt off the top turnbuckle and took out Rusev before sending English face first into it. Woods then headed to the top rope and hit the elbow drop for the win.

Woods was all over Aiden English as he hit a running dropkick to the back of the neck. English replied with a spinebuster before clearing the announcer's table. Rusev kept the pancakes on the table and English put whipped cream on it. Rusev then put a cherry on it as English looked to send Woods face-first into it.

We come back to chants of "we want pancakes" as Rusev wipes Kofi out with a lariat. Kofi replied with a tornado DDT before both men made tags.

Woods and Kingston then opem Rusev's bag of presents and start tossing t-shirts into the crowd. Rusev and English take them out from behind as we head to commercial.

There are deafening chants of "Rusev Day" as this match begins. Kofi and Aiden English start us off but Rusev soon tags himself in. The hee;s chase Kingston in and out of the ring as Kofi plays hard to catch. Enlish charges at Kofi who hits him with a dropkick.

The New Day vs Rusev and Aiden English in what seems to be the Battle of Christmas is up next. Don't go anywhere.

KO and Sami are backstage with Daniel Bryan. Owens gives Bryan a bottle of champagne to thank him for doing the right thing. Sami and Owens are clearly trying to get inside Bryan's head as they reminded him of how Orton robbed him of the title in 2013. They also warned him about Shane before Bryan told them off for being delusional.

Dolph tells fans he'll give them something to remember him by before leaving his title in the ring and walking away.

Dolph added that he went unappreciated year after year before berating the fans and telling them that they weren't worthy.

Dolph then proceeded too remind fans about how he's a 5-time Intercontinental Champion and how he became the World Heavyweight Champion after cashing in Money In The Bank.

Dolph added to those who were surpised by his win, that this was what he's been doing for the last 12 years. He then reminded fans of his first US title at Capitol Punisment in 2011.

Dolph Ziggler comes out to no entrance music but to a pretty big pop from the fans. Dolph silenced his critics in Boston as he comes out to chants of "You deserve it". It doesn't look like much of a celebration but does give him a chance to say "I told you so".

The New Day are backstage with flapjacks but are soon interrupted by Rusev and Aiden English who are dressed in the Christmas spirit. Chants of "Rusev Day" break out as Rusev brings out the gift of a Rusev Day t-shirt for fans.

Naomi finally made the tag but Logan took her out with a headbutt. Liv Morgan got on the apron at this point as Naomi leapfrogged Logan. Logan ended up taking Morgan out before Naomi hit her with a Rear View for the win.

Charlotte and Naomi vs Sarah Logan and Ruby Riott

Sarah Logan is all over Charlotte as this match starts. Riott tags herself in and attacks the left leg of Charlotte. Charlotte breaks free and fails to make a tag by inches before Sarah Logan comes back in. Logan twists Charlotte's left knee mercilessly as the Riott Squad kept trading tags.

The Riott Squad's music hit as the three newest women on SmackDown Live made their way down to the ring. Naomi say them and said that Royal Rumble was about surviving the numbers game. Somehow "chickenhead" got over with the fans during this exchange.

Naomi's music hit and the former champion made her way down to the ring. She congratulated Charlotte for her title defence before announcing herself for the Women's Royal Rumble.

Charlotte starts off by saying that nothing made her happier than carrying the SmackDown Live Women's Championship on her shoulder. She then went on to talk about the Women's Royal Rumble before adding that the fans played an integral part in the women's revolution. She then congratulated the fans and all the women in the back, before adding that she'd wait to defend her title against whoever won.

Bow down....The Queen is out next. Charlotte comes out in her regal best after her successful title defence against Natalya at Clash of Champions.

Jey Uso catches Gable with a Superkick and looks to set up the Frog Splash. Benjamin joins Uso on the top rope but he gets pushed off. Uso then eats the knees as he goes for the Frog Splash. Gable replied with a couple of German Suplexes, one to each Uso. Benjamin then lifts Jey Uso in the powerbomb position and Gable leaps off the top rope for a double team.

Benjamin goes for the cover and that's it. Gable and Benjamin beat the champions. Great match.

Benjamin's the legal man now and he gets caught by a nasty enzeguiri from Jimmy Uso. Both men make tags and Jey Uso drops Chad Gable before catching him with a nasty right hand. He follows it with a Samon Drop and The Usos are rolling on SmackDown. He follows it with running hip attack in the corner.

The Usos vs Gable and Benjamin
The Usos have Chad Gable on lockdown as the match starts. Gable is completely outdone in the beginning stages of the match as The Usos trade tags with ease. Gable rolls out to ringside to regroup with his partner.

The Usos come out next for their match against Gable and Benjamin. Both teams looked fantastic at Clash of Champions and this match should be good.

"Who's your daddy" chants broke out before Shane replied by wishing Daniel luck for the show.

Daniel asked Shane if what he was suggesting was doing "what's best for business". Daniel then told Shane that if he had to fire someone, then to just fire him and be done with it - because Daniel didn't want to see Shane turn into Mr. McMahon.

Shane replied by warning Daniel that showing empathy to Sami and owens, it would come back to haunt him.

Daniel retorts and says that Shane sometimes became hotheaded and lost sight of the bigger picture. Daniel adds that SmackDown should be a land of opportunity for everyone, not just people Shane liked.

Shane adds that when he had taken a moment to walk to the other side of the ring to collect himself, Daniel had helped Sami and KO win with a fast count. Daniel Bryan replied that he had done it to protect Shane from himself as chants of "Thank you Daniel" broke out.

Shane McMahon's music hits and he's come out to confront Daniel. Shane recalls the RKO from Randy Orton which almost had Sami Zayn pinned which would have led to KO and Sami to be fired. Shane added that he later realized that Bryan had been pushed on him. Shane then added when he stopped at the 3-count, he remembered how Zayn and Owens had screwed SmackDown Live.

SmackDown Live kicks off with Daniel Bryan. Bryan comes out to his usual pop and started off with the Women's Royal Rumble. He then went on to announce the main event - Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Jinder Mahal vs AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura and Randy Orton.
