WWE SmackDown Live Results: May 8, 2018, Live Results And Commentary

Daniel Bryan rolls Rusev back in the ring. He goes for the running knee but Rusev blocks it and hits the Machka Kick to beat Daniel Bryan. CLEAN! Rusev beats Daniel Bryan CLEAN!

Rusev def. Daniel Bryan

Bryan hits Rusev with a boot to the side of the head but English pulls him out. Bryan takes them both out with a dropkick through the ropes.

Rusev goes for the Accolade but his wrists hurt from earlier in the match. Daniel Bryan has a Yes Lock locked in on the injured arm but Rusev reaches the ropes.

Bryan hits a hurracanrana from the top rope. He follows it up with the Yes Kicks. Rusev reverses and goes for the Accolade but Bryan gets out of it. Rusev hits Bryan with a boot to the head.

We're back from the break and Rusev is still in control. He leisurely kicks Bryan in the corner. Bryan hits back with a running clothesline. Bryan follows it with running dropkicks in the corner.

Bryan goes after Rusev's knees and quads. Rusev replies by throwing Bryan over the announcer's desk as we head to commercial.

Daniel Bryan gets a big pop as he comes out. Aiden English sings and introduces Rusev, We get duelling "Daniel Bryan/Rusev Day" chants.

Mandy and Becky trade forearms. Becky wins the exchange and hits the Bexploder. Becky goes for a jumping kick in the corner and Mandy Rose rolls her up for the 3-count,

Becky hits Mandy with armdrags, forcing her to roll out of the ring. Mandy comes back in and hits Becky with a forearm. She follows it up with a dropkick and a running knee strike. Becky kicks out at 1.

Paige has barred Sonya Deville from ringside for this match. Mandy Rose has new entrance music.

Mandy Rose makes her SmackDown debut next.

Kofi and Big E take Sheamus out at ringside. Woods goes for the springboard elbow but Cesaro hits him with a nasty uppercut and pins him.

Cesaro def. Xavier Woods

Woods follows it up with a flying kick to ocver Cesaro for a 2-count. Cesaro sends Woods neck-first into the middle rope, Woods hits back with a sunset flip facebuster.

Woods and Cesaro go back and forth as we head into our first break. Cesaro has Woods in an abdominal stretch as we come back from commercial. Woods replies with a knee strike followed b an enzeguiri from the apron.

Daniel Bryan says that he's fit to face Rusev before adding that the bigger they are, the faster they tap.

Charlotte replies with a spear but Royce kicks out at 2. Charlotte follows it up with a Figure 4 and Royce is forced to tap out.

Charlotte hits Royce with a big boot and goes to hit the moonsault. Royce gets the knees up and rolls Charlotte up for 2. Royce follows it with a knee to the head for another 2-count.

Back in the ring, Kay pulls Charlotte back with the referee looking the other way and Royce followed it up with a spinning heel kick. Charlotte still kicks out at 2.

Charlotte leaps over the top rope to take out Billie Kay but Royce hits Charlotte with a neckbreaker at ringside.

Royce and Charlotte trade right hands. Charlotte whips Royce into the corner and hits another Flair chops. She then rolls up Royce for a 2-count. Charlotte looks to follow it up with a Figure-4 but Billie Kay pulls Royce out of the ring.

Royce locks in the Venus Flytrap against the ropes but the referee makes her break the hold. She follows it up with another chokehold.

Royce throws Charlotte head-first into the middle turnbuckle.

Back from the break, Royce throws Charlotte into the ring. She locks in a chokehold as Charlotte tries to get to her feet.

Charlotte takes Royce down with a belly-to-back suplex before hitting her signature Flair chop. Flair follows it up with a back suplex as we head to commercial.

The IIconics cut a scathing promo on Charlotte before their match.

Sheamus and Cesaro are backstage. Sheamus is eating Lucky Charms because it was the only thing that brought him happiness after losing to Woods. Cesaro says that he'll beat Woods tonight for both of them. They then go to open their gym bags to find them both full of pancakes.

Hardy hits a Swanton Bomb after a Twist of Fate. Miz ROLLS UP HARDY following the Swanton for the 3-count!

Hardy replies with a Sunset Flip Powerbomb and Miz kicks out again.

Miz has a sleeper hold locked in but Hardy breaks free and hits the Whisper In The Wind for a nearfall.

Hardy rolls Miz up during the break but Miz kicks out and follows it up with his trademark leaping clothesline into the corner. The Miz signals for the Skull Crushing Finale as he sizes Hardy up. Jeff blocks it and rolls Miz up for a 2-count.

Hardy hits the Twist of Fate and looks to follow it up with the Swanton but Miz rolls away to the apron. Hardy follows him and Miz hits a neckbreaker on the apron.

Miz sends Hardy crotch-first into the barricade at ringside. He tries to hit Hardy with a clothesline but Jeff ducks and leaps off the barricade with a flying clothesline.

Hardy goes for the jawbreaker but Miz hits him with a right hand, taking him down.

Back from commercial, Hardy is still in control. Miz jostles back to his deet and tries to take Hardy down with an armdrag, a move Hardy reverses.

Hardy is strong early on as he drives the action out of the ring, hitting a running dropkick at ringside before rolling Miz back in and going for a Swanton. Miz saw Hardy going up and ran to the other corner of the ring in self-preservation.

Miz follows up his MOTN at Backlash by facing Jeff Hardy tonight with a chance to qualify for Money In The Bank. Miz has the experience of being a MITB winner himself, and someone who successfully cashed it in.

Paige informs fans about to upcoming MITB qualifiers, before adding that they start right now. The first match we get is US Champ Jeff Hardy vs The Miz.

Paige addresses the finish to the No DQ match between Styles and Nakamura.
