Randy Orton and Kane vs Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper

Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper make their way to the ring through the darkness and an ocean of flashlights. Luke Harper cuts a promo first, saying that he sees the light now. Bray says it has never been so bright and taunts Orton to get his monster out for a clash against the one he brought out of the dead, Luke Harper. He ends the segment by promising to send them back into a black hole. Another generic Wyatt promo with the legendary 'what' chants ringing all throughout.

We cut to a commercial break and the match is on the other side. Orton and Kane enter the ring and the 'titanic' tag team match kicks off.

Kane and Harper kick things off, but Harper makes the quick tag to Bray after a brief exchange of shots. Bray comes in and is surprised by Kane's onslaught, forcing him to roll out of the ring. Orton is waiting for there and he rolls Bray back into the ring for the Demon.

We go into yet another commercial break.

Back from the break, Orton suplexes Harper from the top rope. Orton tags Kane in, who comes in, but is overwhelmed by the Wyatts. Kane's missile dropkick is met with a dropkick from Harper. He tags Bray in, who delivers the running senton. He gets Kane back into his corner and keeps him neutralised. Harper gets the tag, who comes off from the ropes and gets caught in a vintage Kane DDT.

Kane makes the hot tag to Randy Orton, who comes in and goes on a complete rampage. Bray also gets the tag and the action spills outside with Orton running roughshod on Wyatt.

Orton is fired up and so are the fans. He gets Bray into the ring and delivers the DDT from the second rope. He prepares for the RKO in trademark viper style while Kane stops Harper from disrupting the proceedings by taking him out on the outside.

The referee asks Kane to come up on the apron and wait for the tag. This was enough for Harper to superkick Orton in the face with Wyatt laying Orton out. Pinfall, 1-2-kickout! Orton goes for the tag, but the lights go out! What's happening? Is Sister Abigail finally here?

Sadly she isn't as the lights come on and Luke Harper is seen in Kane's spot. The Demon is missing! Orton turns and walks into a weak Sister Abigail. Pinfall, 1-2-3! The Sister Abigail didn't look clean but it got the job done.

Result: Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper def. Kane and Randy Orton via pinfall

AJ Styles's victory speech

The announcer specially mentions that AJ Styles like to be now referred as 'The Face That Runs The Place'. True that! The Champion begins his speech by declaring that the champ is here!

He calls for the fans to cheer for him and they do so without any hesitation. He addresses his opponents from No Mercy, John Cena and Dean Ambrose. He says it's phenomenal that he beat both Ambros and Cena at the same time. He claims any other champion  would have taken a month off, but he's an exception.

He says that he is on SmackDown, the land of opportunities, and demands his next opponent to come out who would be getting the main roster rub. Dean Ambrose's music hits and out comes the Lunatic Fringe. Ambrose says that while there may be many in line for s shot, no one can go past him.

Styles says that he beat him fair and square in spite of the double submission, which doesn't happen in a Triple threat.

Styles cuts Ambrose off and says his opponent isn't even on the roster yet. Who could it be? Samoa Joe? Na! It's the legend, the man with a fighting chance, James Ellsworth.

Ellsworth looks ecstatic. Styles tells Ambrose to make his way out and let his match against Ellsworth start. Ambrose says that he is intrigued by the match and would be on commentary.

Hold on! Daniel Bryan's music hits and he starts off by saying that he loves Ellsworth. The GM akes the announcement that Dean Ambrose would not be on commentary, but would be the special guest referee of the match. Bryan adds that if Styles attacks the special Lunatic referee, he could either be fined or suspended.

James Ellsworth vs AJ Styles with Dean Ambrose as the special guest referee

Ambrose gets hold of the referee and pulls his shirt off instantaneously. Hilarious stuff!

Back from the commercial, the match is officially underway.  The chants are balanced for both Styles and Ellsworth. Styles is all over Ellsworth with a backbreaker followed by a few headlocks, few punches and stiff kicks.

The match, though, is all about Ambrose instigating Styles by not doing his job as the referee. He trips Styles over, gets on a call and ignores Ellsworth's tap while he was locked in a calf crusher.

Ambrose starts flirting around with a fan by ringside and Styles doesn't like it a bit. Back in the ring, Styles delivers the Styles clash on Ellsworth. Pinfall, 1-2! Wait! Ambrose stops the count, stares into the champ's distraught face and delivers the Dirty Deeds on Styles. He then looks at a laid out Ellsworth and the fans have gone absolutely crazy.

He pulls Ellsworth over Styles and goes for the pinfall. 1-2-KICKOUT! Ambrose goes out again and takes a sip from a fan's cup, comes back in and delivers yet another Dirty Deeds on the Champion. He puts Ellsworth over, quick pin, 1-2-3!

And just like that, the ultimate underdog, James Ellsworth has beaten the WWE World Champion!

Result: James Ellsworth def. AJ Styles via pinfall (Dean Ambrose special guest referee)

Jimmy Uso vs Chad Gable

One-half of two of the hottest tag teams on SmackDown go up against each other up next. The match kicks off with the Olympian showing off his mat skills by taking Jimmy down. The commentators are plugging away Gable's wrestling credentials and stress that he needs to focus on keeping it to the ground.

The heel, though, gets control with a cheap shot and locks Gable in a side headlock. Gable fights out of it with some elbows to the gut, followed by a back body drop. Gable goes up top and delivers a flying clothesline from the top rope. Gable looks fired up as he floors Jimmy with an Alpha exploder suplex to the corner.

Gable rushes towards Jimmy, but the Uso catches him and stations him on the top turnbuckle. Jimmy rolls Gable up and Jey applies the pressure with his leg from the outside - which the referee was oblivious to. 1-2-3!

Jimmy Uso picks up the tainted victory over the former Olympian in a short match.

Result: Jimmy Uso def. Chad Gable via pinfall

The no.1 contender to the SmackDown Women's Championship, Alexa Bliss is interviewed backstage and she claims she could beat Naomi any day of the week. This fell on Daniel Bryan's ears, who was just around to corner. He told Alexa that she would be facing off against the woman who beat her No Mercy next week on SmackDown.

Carmella vs Naomi

The women make their respective dance infused entrances. Carmella shows off her mean streak again by blindsiding Naomi and taking her down even before the ref called for the bell. The match gets underway on the other side of the commercial break.

Carmella is on top of Naomi with a chin lock as we return from the break. How you doing chants echo around the arena. Naomi creates some separation with a split legged jawbreaker. She follows it up with a weird combination of kicks and sends Carmella face first into the turnbuckle.

Naomi goes up to the top turnbuckle and delivers a front face crossbody. Carmella, though, doesn't let Naomi's momentum last as she slams her to the mat.

Much to the dismay of Carmella, a furious Nikki Bella makes her way down the ramp to avenge the backstage beatdown, followed by a couple of referees trying to stop the former Divas Champion. Naomi takes advantage of the distraction and rolls up Carmella. 1-2-3!

Naomi picks up the win courtesy of Nikki Bella's distraction. Carmella escapes a beatdown at the hands of both Nikki Bella and Naomi by jumping over the barricade and fleeing away into the crowd.

Result: Naomi def. Carmella via roll-up pinfall
