Intercontinental Championship match: Dean Ambrose vs. The Miz (champion) with Maryse

Dean Ambrose makes his entrance to the ring as we cut to commercials. Back from the commercials, we see The Miz make his entrance accompanied by Maryse.

The two get introduced and the match begins with the two locking horns in the middle of the ring. The Miz quickly gets Ambrose in a headlock but Ambrose Irish whips him to get out of it. Miz knocks down Ambrose but Ambrose connects with a Hip toss..

Ambrose gets Miz in a headlock, Miz Irish whips ambrose and attempts a Hip toss of his own but Ambrose reverses it and beats Miz down. Miz gets out of the ring and puts Maryse in front of him in order to avoid Ambrose jumping on to him.

Ambrose then follows Miz outside the ring and throws him into the barricade. We cut to commercials.

Back from the commercials, the Miz and Dean Ambrose are back in the ring as The Miz continues to mock Daniel Bryan's yes chants. He then unloads with a series of running clotheslines into Ambrose, who is in the corner turnbuckle. Miz then attempts a high flying move but Ambrose reverses it.

The two come to a stalemate. Ambrose then goes on to put the Miz in a cradle pin but Miz kicks out. Ambrose proceeds to jump off the top rope with Miz moving out of the way. Miz tries to go for a skull crushing finale but Ambrose powers out of it.

Miz then kicks Ambrose in the corner and ties his leg on to the middle rope. He then connects with a running dropkick to Ambrose's leg and proceeds to tie it against the ropes and tugs on it. The referee breaks the move.

Miz then drives his knee into the inner thigh of Ambrose, breaking it down even further. He tries to go for a figure four leglock but Ambrose powers out of it. Miz gets right back into it and proceeds to stomp on the back of Ambrose after putting him in a leglock.

Miz tries to go for a shinbreaker but Ambrose reverses the momentum. Ambrose attempts to go for a dropkick off the top ropes but the Miz catches a hold of his leg and puts him in a figure four leglock.

Ambrose struggles, but manages to crawl a short distance to reach the bottom rope. Ambrose clutches his leg which The Miz has been working on throughout the match.

Miz then gets taken out of the ring over the top rope as Ambrose uses his own momentum against him. Ambrose then connects with an Air Lunatic on a ringside Miz. 

Back in the ring, The Miz attempts to go for a skull-crushing finale but Ambrose doesn't allow it to happen. Miz connects with a DDT regardless and pins Ambrose, Ambrose kicks out in two.

Miz then connects with a series of "Yes kicks", taunting Daniel Bryan. Ambrose catches a hold of his leg and ends up rolling him up for a pin. Miz kicks out. Ambrose hits him with a lariat and goes on the top rope.

The Miz punches Ambrose and tries to go for a suplex off the ropes but Ambrose punches him back. Ambrose throws Miz off the top rope and makes an attempt to execute a high flying move but Maryse swipes his leg out from under him and Ambrose falls to the ring.

James Ellsworth comes out to the ring and accidentally ends up distracting the referee as Ambrose rolls up the Miz for a pin. The Miz struggles to get out of it but the referee doesn't see it due to the distraction.

Miz then ends up kicking out and Ambrose stares at Ellsworth in disbelief. Miz takes advantage of the situation and ends up hitting Ambrose with the skull crushing finale.

He then pins Ambrose and gets the win.

Result: The Miz (with Maryse) defeats Dean Ambrose via Pinfall

Segment: Alexa Bliss' championship celebration

Alexa Bliss makes her entrance and a massive amount of pyrotechnics go off as she raises her belt. She then says that she has proven that "Happy endings don't exist", she glares at the crowd and responds by saying that while Becky called her a bitch last week, the "bitch" was now running Smackdown's women's division.

Becky Lynch makes her entrance. Alexa Bliss tells Becky that she wasn't invited to the celebration. Becky says that she couldn't stand the fact that Alexa was the champion and promises to knock her "right off the top". 

Alexa says that she didn't care about the admiration of the WWE Universe, she then says that it wasn't the New Era anymore but it was her own era instead. She then says that Becky was going to have to address Alexa as the champion. 

Becky then says that she would want her rematch "right now", Alexa Bliss seemingly acknowledges but as Becky is about to kick things off, Alexa slides out of the ring and walks back up the ramp, raising her championship. Becky signals by pointing to her wrist that Alexa's time as champion was running out.

Match: Chad Gable (with Jason Jordan) vs. Tyler Breeze (with Fandango)

Back from the commercials, Tyler Breeze is already in the ring as American Alpha make their entrance for a singles match between Gable and Breeze. A backstage video airs where Breezango are seen confronting American Alpha on their terrible fashion sense.

the match starts off with Gable getting the upper hand with a monkey flip. Gable then gets Tyle Breeze in a hanging arm-bar, before throwing him outside the ring. After Fandango tries to hit him with a clothesline, Tyler Breeze gets the upper hand and proceeds to knock Gable down.

Back in the ring, Breeze breaks down Gable with a series of punches and ends up pinning Gable, but Gable kicks out.

Breeze then puts Gable into a chinlock but Gable fights back. Breeze tries to toss Gable out but Gable holds on to the ropes and reverses the momentum instead. He then hits Breeze with an Alphaplex.

Back outside the ring after getting tossed out by Breeze, Gable gets attacked by Fandango but avoids it. Fandango gets double teamed by Jason Jordan and Chad Gable as Jordan hits him with a Belly to Belly suplex.

Back in the ring, Gable goes after Tyler Breeze, connects with Chaos Theory and ends up pinning Breeze for the win.

Result: Chad Gable defeats Tyler Breeze via Pinfall

Segment: Nikki Bella backstage

Nikki Bella is met by child singing sensation Sophia Grace backstage. 

Upon being asked how she was doing, Bella says that she was having a rough time off late, she then talks about a special song that she was going to do with Sophia which would include Naomi, Brie Bella, Lana and herself.

Match: Kalisto vs. Baron Corbin

Back from the commercials, Kalisto makes his entrance and is followed by Baron Corbin. 

The two start things off with Kalisto atempting to grab Corbin from behind but Corbin tosses him aside. Kalisto attempts to bounce off the ropes but bounces off Corbin instead.

Corbin then throws Kalisto out of the ring after grabbing him by his head and urges the referee to count Kalisto out.

Kalisto comes back to the apron and connects with a roundhouse kick on Corbin. He then connects with a high flying move off the top of the turnbuckle on a ringside Corbin and that is followed by another series of moves that includes a tornado DDT off the ropes.

Kalisto then goes to the top rope after a failed pin attempt on Baron Corbin. Corbin avoids the move and connects with an End of Days on Kalisto instead.

Corbin pins Kalisto for the pin and the win.

Result: Baron Corbin defeats Kalisto via Pinfall

Segment: Miz TV

The Miz and Maryse make their way to the ring. 

Miz tells the crowd that he has put Dolph Ziggler permanently in the rear view mirror. He then goes on to introduce his guest as someone who 'came up short' despite doing everything he could and asks the crowd to welcome 'The Lunatic fringe' Dean Ambrose.

Dean Ambrose walks out to the ring and gets into it. He then takes a seat alongside Miz and Maryse. Miz asks Dean Ambrose how angry he was when he hit Ellsworth with the dirty deeds and how angry he is at James Ellsworth backstabbing him. Miz then asks Ambrose if he was angrier than anyone on planet earth. 

Ambrose says that he wasn't angry. He says that he never expected Ellsworth, who he helped become a WWE superstar, to backstab him. Miz says that Ambrose used Ellsworth to get under AJ Styles' skin. Miz then goes on to talk about a match between Dean Ambrose and James Ellsworth being something that everyone wanted to see it. 

Ambrose gets up and says that he doesn't like it when someone tries to intentionally piss him off. Miz immediately gets up and gets behind Maryse. He then reminds Ambrose that the only reason Ambrose came up short because of Ellsworth. 

Miz then announces that he was going to present Dean Ambrose the first ever "Miz Appreciation Award", the crowd chants "You deserve it", as The Miz congratulates Ambrose. Ambrose says that he would like to see if he could shove the award down Miz's throat. 

Daniel Bryan interrupts them and makes his entrance. He then says that he could not let Ambrose attack the Miz "right now", Miz thanks Bryan, but Bryan goes on to make a match between Dean Ambrose vs. The Miz for the main event. 

Bryan then asks the crowd if they wanted the match to be for the Intercontinental championship. The crowd responds with resounding "Yes" chants and Bryan ends up making the match for the Intercontinental championship.

Tag Team Match: The Ascension vs. The Hype Bros.

The Ascension are already in the ring as The Hype Bros. make their entrance. A promo by Ascension airs where Viktor promises that they will rise. A promo by The Hype Bros also airs where Mojo Rawley says that they will "waste the wasteland weirdos".

The match starts with Zack Ryder squaring off against Viktor. While Ryder initially gets the upper hand, Viktor gets the upper hand and tags Conor in, Conor beats Ryder down on the ring apron from the outside, then drags Ryder back into the ring and tags Viktor in. The two execute some combined offence on a downed Ryder. Viktor then puts Ryder in a headlock.

Ryder then gets broken down further by Viktor as he stomps on Ryder's back. Conor gets tagged in and sets Ryder up for a suplex but Ryder turns it around for a Neckbreaker instead. Mojo Rawley and Viktor get tagged in and Rawley immediately gets the upper hand with a series of high impact moves. He goes for the pin but Conor breaks it.

Conor's interference results in Viktor rolling up Mojo Rawley for an attempted pin. Rawley breaks out of it and tags Ryder in.

The Hype Bros. connect with a Hype Ryder on Viktor. Ryder then pins Viktor and gets the win for the team.

Result: The Hype Bros. defeat The Ascension via Pinfall

Segment: Baron Corbin backstage

Baron Corbin gets interviewed backstage about Kalisto's comments earlier in the night. Baron Corbin says that while he doesn't deny that Kalisto is fast, he is a big man and Kalisto is just a man. He then calls Kalisto a mosquito and claims that he will splat him like one when they face each other.

Match: Carmella vs. Natalya

Carmella makes her entrance and gets in the ring. She goes on to claim that she had something to say. She thanks the crowd for reminding her that she lost at TLC against Nikki Bella. She then goes on remind the crowd that she revealed to Nikki Bella that Natalya was the actual culprit behind the assault on Nikki Bella despite Nikki Bella thinking that Carmella was the one.

Carmella then goes on to talk about how Natalya had been bragging to her about attacking Nikki Bella non-stop and accuses Natalya of being jealous of Nikki Bella's and her own good looks. Natalya then makes her entrance.

Natalya gets into the ring and starts beating Carmella down right away. Carmella runs to the backstage after sliding out of the ring and Natalya chases her down. We see that Natalya is backstage, trying to find Carmella as she runs into Nikki Bella instead. She tries explaining things to Nikki Bella but Nikki storms off. 

Result: No contest as the match never officially started.
