A very good show over all. SmackDown bounced back after Survivor Series with a bang.
...
Owens is backstage and he begs Daniel Bryan not to fire him. Bryan replies that he was never going to fire Owens and books Owens vs Orton for next week's SmackDown.
...
After Owens ran out of the arena, New Day ganged up on Zayn and took their frustration out on him. Kofi hit a Trouble In Paradise before Woods and Big E hit the Midnight Hour.

Sami Zayn uses the opportunity to roll up Kofi Kingston for the win. A win out of nowhere for Owens and Zayn.

Kofi tags himself on and hits a flying crossbody before tossing Sami into the lumberjacks. Corbin slugs Roode by mistake and a brawl breaks out amongst the lumberjacks.

Owens and Zayn trade tags to work on Kofi. Owens goes for a Senton but Kofi gets his knees up. Kofi makes the tag and Big E is legal. He hits both men with a belly to belly and follows it with a Big Splash to Zayn.

Big E and Kofi are in control. They trade tags an stomp Owens before Owens powers Kofi back into his team's corner. Owens then uses a distraction from Kofi to hit a superkick.

Sami tries to escape the arena and run away but lumberjacks swarm him and bring him back to the ring.
...
Kofi leapfrogs Sami and hits him with a flying back elbow. Zayn throws Kofi out again but the lumberjacks leave him alone. Sami joins Kofi at ringside and the lumberjacks immediately swarm him.

Owens tosses Kofi out of the ring but the lumberjack's leave Kofi alone. Something Owens doesn't take kindly to. He tags in Sami.

The New Day vs Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn (Lumberjack Match)

A great set up for this match as the SmackDown roster surrounds the ring. Owens and Big E start us off as Owens locks in a side headlock. Big E hits a shoulder tackle before tagging in Kofi.

This match gives the feeling that something big will happen. Could we see another debut tonight? Unlikely but possible...

We're set for the main-event. The SmackDown stars pour out, all of them waiting to get a piece of Owens and Zayn.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are backstage with Daniel Bryan. KO and Sami say that firing them would be the biggest mistake he ever made.

Ruby, Liv and Sarah lay waste to Charlotte and stand over her. The women's divison has heated up.

Ruby Riot, Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan come out from the crowd and they attack Natalya at ringside. Ruby hits Natalya with a nasty kick to the side of the head. The trio then turn their attention to Charlotte.

Natalya gets over zealous and charges at Charlotte, who sends her face-first into the turnbuckle. Charlotte heads to the top rope and looks for the moonsault, only to be met by Natalya's knees.

Natalya has Charlotte where she wants her and locks in the Sharpshooter. Charlotte crawls and reaches the ropes. Nattie immediately let's go and continues the assault.

Charlotte hits back with an elbow before landing a train of right forearms in the corner. Natalya turns the tide again with a beautiful sitout Powerbomb.

Charlotte (C) vs Natalya (for the SmackDown Live Women's Championship)
The two women briefly locked up when the bell rang but Nattie soon took control. Natalya looks like she came prepared as she takes Charlotte down with a clothesline.

The WWE Women's Championship match us up next as Charlotte defends against Natalya.

The Singh Bros attacked AJ from behind at this moment but AJ destroyed them after regrouping. He hit Sunil Singh with a Styes Clash as Jinder looked on.

AJ added a jibe, saying that Jinder was well rested because he wasn't on Survivor Series. Jinder replied that he would invoke his rematch at Clash of Champions, leading to an audible groan from the crowd.

AJ then addressed Jinder and laid out his title in the middle of the ring to challenge Jinder. Jinder came on the titantron to reveal that he was watching AJ's match with Brock Lesnar. Jinder said that he would have beaten Brock if he'd faced him, calling himself the "Beastmaster".

AJ added that he wasn't the one who had to limp to the back before telling Brock that he was open to a rematch.

AJ Styles admits how disappointed he is. He admits that Brock is the beast that everyone says he is. A then reveals the phone calls and messages, even Paul Heyman sending him a message before adding that there were no trophies for second place.

Natalya is backstage with Dasha Fuentes. She says that her cat 2Paws could have beaten Alexa Bliss before adding that she couldn't wait to win back her title.

Bludgeon Brothers vs Hype Bros
Harper and Rowan's new theme is really good. They take out Zack Ryder at ringside before the match starts to leave Mojo alone. Harper and Rowan make short work of Rawley and hit him with a double powerbomb for the win. That was pretty impressive.

Shane's headling back to the hotel. You know what that means.....something big might happen in his absence.

We have another "debut" next as the Bludgeon Brothers face the Hype Bros. The Hype Bros are out first and am I the only one who finds Mojo's excessive energy annoying?

Another interesting move by WWE. The women's division on both RAW and SmackDown have been blown wide open.

Naomi is backstage and she's interrupted by the debuting Ruby Riot. Riot introduces her friends Live Morgan and Sarah Logan who take out Naomi. Becky tries to come to the rescue but she gets destroyed too.

Gable blocks the suicide dive by getting on the apron as Jimmy Uso pulls Gable down. Gable sends Jimmy crashing into the barricade. Back in the ring, Jimmy Uso goes for a Frog Splash and crashes into the mat. Shelton follows it up with with his finisher, the Paydirt, for the 3 count.

Shelton has Jey in a headlock as we return. Uso powers out, flips out of a back suplex and hits Shelton with a kick to the gut. He follows it up with a Samoan Drop followed by a hip attack in the corner. Shelton rolls out to grab a breather as Jey looks to set  up a suicide dive.

As the match starts, it looks like Shelton still has the advantage in power but his speed's faded a little over the years. Jey drops Shelton with an elbow but Benjamin drops Uso to the floor with a nasty looking jumping knee strike as we head to commercial. This one's heating up.

We have Shelton Benjamin in single's action next for the first time in 7 years as he faces Jey Uso.

Daniel Bryan said that he had a better solution. Since everybody hated Owens and Zayn's guts, Bryan booked Owens and Zayn in a lumberjack match against the New Day.
