Backstage, Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon are with the referee who's injured and they're met with a very, very angry Kevin Owens. Shane McMahon says that referee's decision stays and says that there will be a rematch at Summerslam for the United States Championship.

Owens demands a better referee, someone who can see better and make good calls.

Bryan makes the call that Shane McMahon could be the perfect referee.

AJ Styles vs Kevin Owens for the United States Champion at Summerslam with Shane McMahon as the Referee.

05:56 (IST)2 AUG 2017

Owens is not pleased and remonstrates with the referee and angrily walks out of the ring. This is not the last time we'll see these two battle it out in the ring.

05:55 (IST)2 AUG 2017

Owens then hit two huge kicks, but inadvertently lands a shot on the referee. Styles tries to take advantage by getting a roll-up cover and Styles gets the three count.

Styles wins and retains the US title.

But that looks controversial as Owens had his shoulder up the whole time. Perhaps the referee couldn't see it because he was hit in the face moments ago.

05:52 (IST)2 AUG 2017

Owens tried a powerbomb, but Styles evades it and lands a Pele kick. AJ now has Owens on the Calf Crusher and Owens almost taps, but gets to the rope! That was very close.

Covers, almost the three count.

Styles readies himself to land the Phenomenal Forearm, but Owens is not there. He then lands a huge forearm from over the top ropes on Owens. Owens then sidesteps Styles and throws him into the barricade.

05:43 (IST)2 AUG 2017

05:43 (IST)2 AUG 2017

... back in the ring, Owens still has the advantage as he lands a huge boot and covers... but it's just the two count again. Styles looks to regain the momentum with a beautifully executed dropkick. And then goes to work on him with a few loud chops; and then a kneedrop... covers, but it's just the two count.
