After the match, Corbin, Zayn and Owens come out to attack Cena. Dolph Ziggler rushes in to make the save. He then attacks AJ Styles but eats an AA from Cena, who ends the show standing tall.

Cena looks for a third AA, but Styles rolls through for a Calf Crusher. The Doctor of Thuganomics powers through and delivers a third AA for the win.

Cena's down for a while, but he manages to put an unsuspecting Styles through the table with an AA.  He rolls back into the ring, but Styles, who is helped back to his feet by a fan, barely manages to beat the 10-count.

Styles looks for another Phenomenal Forearm, but Cena knocks him off the ropes. The 16-time World Champion connects with an AA, but he wants a second! Styles manages to slip out and gets to ringside. Cena looks for the shoulder barge and runs into the steel steps.

Both men hit their finishers during the commercial break. There is a scramble with Styles and Cena landing huge strikes, but the former NJPW man manages to keep his composure and hit the Phenomenal Forearm! Cena kicks out!

Cena reaches into his bag of tricks and finds an electric chair, but Styles kicks out. He lands a nice-looking lariat, but the WWE Champion is still hanging in there. Styles intercepts an incoming Cena with the enzuigiri as we cut to commercial.

When we return from commercial, Cena hits the 5-Knuckle Shuffle and teases an AA. However, Styles counters and hits the ushigoroshi. Cena connects with a TKO, Alex Riley's finishing move, and gets a nearfall. Cena looks for a Super AA, but Styles plants him with a massive slam. Cena kicks out and stays alive!

Cena immediately knocks Styles down with an elbow and grabs a chinlock. After continuing to work on Styles, he connects with a Tornado DDT for 2.

After the match, Nakamura and Cena have a "passing of the ships" moment. They're rumoured to have a match at Fastlane.

When we return from commercial, English hits a huge spinbuster for 2. Nakamura misses with a knee to the corner, allowing English to hit a crossbody. However, Nakamura comes back with an enzuigiri and a series of knees to the gut. Kinshasa connects, and that's all she wrote.

Nakamura finds home with his vaunted strikes, but Rusev nails the Royal Rumble winner with a huge kick as we cut to commercial.

Just as the two groups put their microphones aside and get ready to brawl, they're interrupted by the arrival of the Bludgeon Brothers. Both teams retreat to the back as Harper and Rowan get into the ring.

The Usos say that they've been sidelined for too many WrestleManias, and they believe that their newly-found edge should be enough to carry them to victory. They go on a rant that infuriates Big E, who says that the Usos are only successful because of their father, WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi.

The New Day are out to address their upcoming Tag-Team Championship match with The Usos at Fastlane. This rivalry has produced a number of good matches, and SmackDown Live's most popular trio promise to win the titles when they're interrupted by The Usos.

Tyler Breeze and Fandango are backstage when they run into Josh Duhamel, who has a new TV show with the USA Network. The New Day also find themselves added to what can only be described as one of the most cringe-worthy segments of the year.

Riott has Naomi in a chinlock as we cut backstage to Carmella, who's weighing on the pancakes vs. waffles debate. Naomi makes a comeback with a kick to the gut and a springboard enzuigiri. Riott then throws the former SmackDown Women's Champion face-first into a turnbuckle and nails her with a Riott Kick for the win.

Zayn and Owens are backstage with Shane McMahon, and they're irate. However, the commissioner tells them to catch up with Daniel Bryan if they want to air their grievances.

After the match, we cut backstage to Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon. Bryan takes his leave and says that he's going home.

Corbin intercepts an attempted Zayn plancha and drops him face-first onto the announce table. As Corbin talks trash to Owens, Zayn nearly takes advantage with a roll-up. All of a sudden Ziggler nails Owens with a superkick. Meanwhile, Corbin hits the End of Days for the win.

When we return from commercial, Zayn has Corbin in a chinlock. Owens is brilliant on commentary, something Shane McMahon isn't happy with. Corbin nails a huge backbreaker and nearly decapitates Zayn with his patented lariat.

This match is underway with Kevin Owens on commentary. After a quick lockup, Zayn retreats outside the ring, but he is greeted by a shoulder block on re-entry. Corbin assaults the former El Generico outside the ring, battering him from barricade to barricade. However, the former NFL player is backdropped into the timekeeper's area.

Bryan says that Cena will face AJ Styles in tonight's main event. Should he emerge victorious, the Massachusetts native will be inserted into the WWE Championship match at Fastlane.

The Commissioner of SmackDown Live mentions the fact that Cena would walk into WrestleMania as a record 17-time World Champion if he were to win the WWE title at Fastlane, but he is interrupted by Daniel Bryan before he can utter another word.

After seeing his Road to WrestleMania take a detour at WWE Elimination Chamber due to his ouster from the bout at the hands of Braun Strowman, John Cena somberly reflected on his legendary career on Raw Talk while seemingly turning the gears in his head, looking for another opportunity to perform on The Grandest Stage of Them All.Monday night on Raw, Cena defiantly claimed that he will never give up in his quest to make it to New Orleans. The free agent declared that he would be heading to SmackDown LIVE tonight to take advantage of The Land of Opportunity that Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan have created. But just how does Cena intend to make sure his Road to WrestleMania runs through SmackDown LIVE?


Naomi steps up to answer Ruby Riott’s challenge

Last week, Ruby Riott pinned Becky Lynch in Six-Woman Tag Team action, getting a title opportunity at WWE Fastlane in the process. That didn’t stop the Riott Squad leader from calling out one of the champion’s closest allies, Naomi, promising to knock her lights out.Naomi is more than ready to take on Riott in singles competition, though she’ll have to be weary of Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan lurking at ringside. Will Riott make good on her promise, or will Naomi make her feel the glow?

Though he was not victorious, The Lone Wolf sent a message that he will be a serious threat during the WWE Championship Fatal 5-Way at WWE Fastlane.Corbin will get another opportunity at payback tonight on SmackDown LIVE when he goes one-on-one with Zayn. Will Zayn be able to escape the wrath of The Lone Wolf?
