Thanks for following our coverage of SmackDown Live. It sure feels good to say that AJ Styles is the WWE Champion, doesn't it?

08:37 (IST)8 NOV 2017

So, there you have it, folks. AJ Styles is your new WWE Champion, and he will face Brock Lesnar — one of the biggest stars WWE has ever produced — at Survivor Series.

Just two years ago, he was toiling in obscurity with NJPW, and he's now in a match with the biggest star in professional wrestling. It must feel good to be AJ Styles. In a fit of frustration, Jinder Mahal assaults the Singh Brothers while Styles celebrates.

08:34 (IST)8 NOV 2017

A furious AJ Styles then annihilates the Singh Brothers, but Mahal strikes with Khallas when Styles enters the ring. Mahal makes the cover, but Styles gets a foot on the rope. The Maharaja then positions his prey on the top rope, looking for one final attack.

However, Styles reverses and sets up a Phenomenal Forearm which connects with the force of a thunderbolt. Styles makes the cover, and he gets a three count!!!! We have a new WWE Champion which means that we have been liberated from Jinder Mahal's reign of terror.

He positions Styles for another superplex, but the former TNA man looks to reverse it into a Tornado DDT that doesn't connect. After sending Mahal crashing outside the ring, Styles hits a Phenomenal Forearm on the WWE Champion. He then hurls his foe inside the ring before connecting with a 450 splash. However, the Singh Brothers break up the pin.

08:27 (IST)8 NOV 2017

Mahal reverses a Styles Clash, but AJ Styles connects with a series of kicks to the chest. Mahal then manages to regain control, but an attempt at a superplex is reversed into a calf crusher. The Maharaja eventually manages to make it to the ropes and ends Styles' next wave of offence with a clothesline.

08:24 (IST)8 NOV 2017

Mahal then throws Styles inside the ring and attacks with a series of knees to the chest. He grabs a chinlock which he interrupts with knees to the back and elbows to the head. Mahal resumes his slow, plodding assault until Styles reverses an attempted knee drop to the chest. Styles wins an exchange of blows, knocking Mahal down and eventually connecting with a clothesline in the corner. Ushigoroshi connects for two.

08:21 (IST)8 NOV 2017

Jinder Mahal throws Styles to the mat and grabs a headlock. He looks to run the ropes but eats a dropkick, forcing him outside the ropes. A forearm awaits him on re-entry. Mahal then intercepts a plancha before dropping Styles on the announce table.

Styles retorts with a flurry of strikes and attempts a roll-up. He then gets thrown out of the ring as we cut to commercial.

AJ Styles is out to a huge pop. He's got a spring in his step. He's going over tonight!

The Usos look to isolate Gable, but he makes the tag to Benjamin. Shelton fights back, but Jey looks for the roll-up. A spot of chaos breaks out and Chad Gable chop blocks Jey Uso's knee outside the ring, injuring him and keeping him outside for a count of 10.

After the match, Carmella enters the ring. After teasing a face-off with Lynch, she super kicks James Ellsworth, implying that we may have just seen a break-up.

07:47 (IST)8 NOV 2017

Lynch gets underway with an armlock, but Ellsworth reverses. This match then devolves into a comical exchange of holds. At one point, Ellsworth shoves Lynch outside the ring, but she retorts with a missile dropkick. Once Ellsworth's resistance is spent, he begs Lynch for mercy and hugs her. However, the Irish Superstar is not in a forgiving mood. She locks in the disarmer for the victory.

James Ellsworth is pacing backstage when he runs into Tamina. He asks her to fetch Carmella, but he gets Becky Lynch instead. He tells the Irish Superstar that she has no chance of winning tonight because he's a man. He then cuts a comically sexist promo before being cut down to size by Lynch.

07:27 (IST)8 NOV 2017

In frustration, Rusev turns away and looks at the crowd. He's treated to an RKO out of nowhere for taking his eye off the ball. That's all she wrote, folks. The Bulgarian Brute will not represent SmackDown Live at Survivor Series.

Randy Orton def. Rusev

Rusev has Randy Orton in a headlock and cuts off any attempt at a rally from The Viper. Shane McMahon, Shinsuke Nakamura and Bobby Roode are backstage watching the match. Rusev attempts a number of covers, but he cannot secure the victory. It looks like he doesn't watch a lot of professional wrestling.

07:09 (IST)8 NOV 2017

Jinder Mahal is backstage with Renee Young. He says that AJ Styles is the appetiser and Brock Lesnar is the entrée. He then makes a meal-related analogy. It's safe to say that he made a meal of this cringe-worthy promo.

The New Day attempt to retort by taking a shot at Zayn's entrance, but the Canadians criticise McMahon's invasion of Raw. They bring up their dissatisfaction with not representing SmackDown at Survivor Series, claiming they're the two best Superstars on the show.

They then claim that The New Day are nothing more than puppets. The New Day retort by saying that Owens has his hand up Zayn's rear end. Zayn claims that SmackDown can't defeat Raw without him and Kevin Owens, making Shane McMahon accountable for their inevitable defeat.

McMahon then accuses Zayn of not having any "brand loyalty." I'm not sure how to break this to him. Shane, this isn't exactly the Monday Night War. The exact same people watch both shows. No one cares.

06:47 (IST)8 NOV 2017

Kingston says that they didn't intend to cost Ambrose and Rollins the Championships, but those are the consequences of invading Raw. They then say that The Shield will do nothing and add that they're prepared for any retaliation from Raw. Shane McMahon then praises The New Day and says they embody the "SmackDown spirit". AJ Styles to challenge WWE Champion Jinder Mahal tonight on SmackDown LIVE

The Phenomenal One has made it clear for several weeks that Mahal and the WWE Title are in his sights, but The Modern Day Maharaja retaliated by saying that there is no worthy competition on SmackDown LIVE. Mahal has instead been laser-focused on his upcoming Champion vs. Champion bout with Raw’s Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar. That slight has not sat well with Styles, who has physically gone after the WWE Champion on several occasions.

Instead of stepping into the ring with The Phenomenal One, Mahal sent his charges, The Singh Brothers, into battle with Styles to defend his honor. To send a message to The Modern Day Maharaja, Styles dispatched of both Samir and Sunil Singh in quick, brutal fashion. However, after Styles’ victory over Samir last Tuesday, Mahal blindsided The Phenomenal One, brutalizing him in a vicious attack at ringside before planting him into the canvas with the devastating Khallas.

Mahal has been set on proving that he is the “beastmaster” and the top champion in all of WWE, but his Survivor Series showdown with The Beast could be in jeopardy if Styles dethrones him. Mahal, on the other hand, is not thrilled about the match, but promises he will be leaving England as champion.

SmackDown LIVE Commissioner Shane McMahon made the announcement on Twitter Thursday afternoon, as a result of Mahal’s savage attack on Styles this last Tuesday.

Becky Lynch to face James Ellsworth tonight on SmackDown LIVE
.
After a heated exchange on Twitter, Becky Lynch will battle James Ellsworth tonight on SmackDown LIVE in Manchester, England. The tiff began when Ellsworth took to social media to call Lynch’s captaincy of the SmackDown Women’s Survivor Series team into question:

The Irish Lass Kicker, having defeated The Princess of Staten Island and three other SmackDown Superstars to earn the captaincy, took exception and told Carmella to keep her pet in check. Lynch even issued a challenge to Carmella, offering a chance for Ms. Money in the Bank to prove herself.

SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos defend against Shelton Benjamin & Chad Gable

The newest rivalry in SmackDown’s Tag Team division finally hits the ring Tuesday in England, as The Usos defend their SmackDown Tag Team Titles against the tandem of Shelton Benjamin & Chad Gable.

After winning a Fatal 4-Way Match to earn a future title opportunity, the mat wrestling masters almost immediately set out to get under the champions’ skin. Benjamin & Gable initially approached Jimmy & Jey in what appeared to be a handshake offering of sportsmanship ahead of their title match, only to pull their hands away at the last second. The challengers continued antagonizing the champions two weeks later, revealing that their title match would take place this Tuesday in Manchester.

The Usos have had their sights set on Survivor Series and their Champions vs. Champions showdown with the Raw Tag Team Champions. Before they can focus on a battle with new titleholders Cesaro & Sheamus, however, Jimmy & Jey must get through Benjamin & Gable. Who will move on to Houston?

Will Raw retaliate for The New Day’s raid?

The latest salvo in the battle for brand supremacy was launched on Monday night when The New Day raided Raw. Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods made their presence felt in Manchester when they interfered in the main event – a Raw Tag Team Title Match between champions Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose and Cesaro & Sheamus.Just as the bout was reaching a thrilling apex, The New Day entered through the crowd to berate The Bar, the Shield brothers and the rest of the Raw roster for their lack of response to #UnderSiege.

This time, however, Team Red rushed to ringside to chase off the invaders. But the fray proved to be a distraction for Rollins, who turned around into a devastating Brogue Kick from Sheamus that led to The Bar leaving Manchester as the new Raw Tag Team Champions. With tensions rising between the two brands as Survivor Series approaches, will Raw be out for retribution when SmackDown comes to Manchester?
