Brawl Stars is currently facing challenges in delivering its compensation of 300 Pizza Slices to players affected by a recent bug during the Pizza Planet event. The issue began when some players began the event with unintended extra Pizza Slices, resulting in a disparity among users. The developers initially planned to deliver these slices through the in-game inbox, but the excess number of eligible players has complicated the process, potentially extending delivery time.
To address this, a new method for distribution is being explored, with compensation expected to be delivered next week, likely on January 9, 2025, after scheduled maintenance.

The decision to compensate with 300 Pizza Slices stems from two main factors: acknowledging the lost progression day and apologizing for the unintended extra currency some players received. This amount represents 15% of the total potential Pizza Slices a dedicated player could earn during the event, which is capped at 2000 slices.
While this compensation may not equal what some players spent, it aims to maintain game balance and encourages continued participation without destabilizing the event's economy.
Those slices have already been delivered directly to their inboxes for players who purchased 250 Pizza Slices for 79 gems. The developers have also reset all players' Pizza Slices to zero to ensure fairness, particularly since only 3.6% of participants spent more than 300 slices, and just 0.4% used over 2000 slices on the first day.
The developers decided not to penalize those who received extra Pizza Slices as they were unaware of the bug. Removing items or deducting slices would have been time-consuming and risky, potentially leading to further complications in player accounts. Instead, the focus was placed on compensating those who didn't benefit from the glitch.
Supercell increases compensation for players
The compensation for players has been raised to 400 Pizza Slices, exclusively available as a freebie in the in-game shop for those who spent 300 or fewer Pizza Slices on the season’s first day. Additionally, changes to the Arcade Contest have been implemented: players can now earn 3 times more points for winning matches quickly, receiving 25 points for each second remaining (up to 75 points).
This new system incentivizes quick victories over alternative strategies, encouraging faster gameplay and rewarding efficiency in matches.
Despite the frustrations voiced by the Brawl Stars community regarding perceived inequities in compensation, developers emphasize that the approach is aimed at rewarding those affected while maintaining a balanced game environment.
Communication about further developments will be shared through official channels as they work to resolve these issues and enhance player experiences moving forward.
