Marc Marquez wins German Moto GP

Marc Marquez won his second race of the season!

Repsol Honda team’s driver Marc Marquez won the German Grand Prix at the Sachsnring circuit today. This was the young driver’s second victory after winning the Grand Prix of Americas in April.

Behind him, Cal Crutchlow finished in 2nd and Valentino Rossi took 3rd for his second consecutive podium over the last two races.

Marquez’s championship rivals Dani Pedrosa and Jorge Lorenzo did not start the race. Pedrosa suffered a heavy crash in third practice and although he was fit for Sunday morning’s warm up , he was suffering from continued dizziness and low blood pressure so this ruled him out of the race. 2012 MotoGP champion and Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo, who suffered a crash two weeks back and sustained a collar bone injury, was involved in another crash this weekend, which might have caused the injury to worsen. Lorenzo will fly to Barcelona and will undergo another surgery.

Marquez now leads the Championship by 2 points after 8 rounds.
