Newly-crowned world champion Marc Marquez from Spain took pole position for Sunday's Australian MotoGP in Phillip Island.
The Repsol Honda star timed one minute 28.408 seconds in Saturday qualifying, beating second-placed Ducati's Cal Crutchlow by 0.234 seconds and securing his 12th pole position of the year, reports Xinhua.
