The NASCAR Cup Series finds its new home in Mexico City next weekend. The Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez track is set to host its first NASCAR Cup Series points race. The track consists of a road course and oval configurations, and is set to be a multi-year deal as confirmed by the NASCAR Executive Vice President, Ben Kennedy. The race in Mexico is named the Viva Mexico 250.
The action moves from Michigan, where the fans witnessed a thrilling race with Denny Hamlin clinching the victory during the latter stages of the race, taking home his third victory of the season.
