The NASCAR Cup Series racing action moves from Michigan to a new venue at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez track in Mexico City. The Viva Mexico 250 race is scheduled for June 15 at 3:00 PM ET. The venue hosts NASCAR's first point-scoring outside the United States. Daniel Suarez remains the only Cup Series driver on the grid to have his roots in Mexico.

The Mexican driver races for the Trackhouse Racing Team in the No. 99 Chevrolet car. He became the first Mexican driver to win a race in the Cup Series after winning the race at the Sonoma Raceway in 2022. The country of Mexico has produced more talent for the sport, apart from the Household name of Daniel Suarez.

Here are three Mexican drivers who are making racing waves in the sport:

Regina Sirvent is one of the few Mexican women racing car drivers. Sirvent began karting at an early age of nine and made her debut racing in the Mexico series at just 14 years old. The 22-year-old driver won the fan vote to compete in the 2024 NASCAR Mexico Series race at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. She is also a part of the 2024 Driver for Diversity class.

Sirvent has multiple top-ten finishes and her first win in the Mikel's Trucks series in 2020 at Querétaro. Regina Sirvent competes part-time in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 68 car for Kimmel Racing.

#2. Germán Quiroga

Germán Quiroga is a three-time NASCAR Mexico Series champion. He won three consecutive championships from 2009- 2011. Quiroga transitioned from racing to broadcasting, joining FOX Sports as a NASCAR analyst, where he shares his insights as a racer himself.

The 45-year-old driver no longer races full-time, but his accomplishments and presence in the Motorsports fraternity keep him influential in the sport. His contributions to the broadcasting services have also helped gain visibility of the sport among Hispanic fans.

#1. Max Gutiérrez

Max Gutiérrez won the NASCAR Mikel's Truck Series championship in his second year of participation in 2018. The Mexican driver joined the ARCA Menards Series East full-time with Rette Jones Racing, intending to establish himself in U.S. stock‑car circuits. He also competed part-time in the Craftsman Truck Series, driving the No. 22 Ford for the AM Racing team.

At just 18, Gutiérrez moved to the ARCA Series, he's one of the most capable and brightest youngsters from Mexico in the racing scene at the moment. He has showcased immense potential in racing at the top and is slowly making his way into the NASCAR world.

His journey mirrors the path Daniel Suárez once took, transitioning through domestic series to make an impact in the U.S. track racing.
