The competition in NASCAR can be fierce for the drivers as they battle for victories and the ultimate prize, the Cup Series championship. While most drivers are focused on the track, sometimes a small mistake can turn the game around for them.

There are moments of fury and rage on the track, ranging from harsh words to physical violence in the garage. Sometimes the incidents drivers' families get involved, too.

Here are three such moments when the wives of NASCAR drivers did not hold back on their criticism of events surrounding the sport.

#1 Kim Wallace's comments on NASCAR's knockout playoff format

The knockout format was introduced in 2014 and has been criticized by many. This criticism rose once again after Joey Logano won the Championship this season. He recorded the worst average finish of a champion in the history of the sport. Sharing her views on the knockout format, veteran driver Kenny Wallace's wife said:

"I’m glad he won because I like Joey because he’s a nice person…As far as the point system goes, I haven’t watched a race since you [Kenny Wallace] got out of a car. So, I have no idea what’s going on out there, I just know its not the same as it used to be. That’s all I know."

The knockout system has been criticized as many claim the performance in a single race can decide the fate of a driver, regardless of how they have performed the entire season.

#2 McCall Smith calls out late caution at the Brickyard 400

During the race at Indianapolis earlier this season, Ryan Preece spun off and crashed into the wall right after the overtime started. While he came to a halt, NASCAR did not put out a caution until Kyle Larson crossed the white flag.

Zane Smith had started the race in P27 and made up quite a few places. However, as the race ended under the yellow flag, he wasn't able to make up any places in the final moments and finished P17. His wife, McCall Smith, called the moment "bullshit" on social media. She said,

"That is such bullshit NASCAR. Car was sitting there for a full lap but wait and throw the caution once the 5 takes the white lol… joke."

#3 Samantha Busch's sarcastic take on Ross Chastain

Kyle Busch and Ross Chastain were involved in an incident during the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma. Chastain, in an attempt to overtake the #8, spun him off on a corner. Reacting to this, Samantha Busch shared a post on X. She wrote,

"'Locked up my tires' aka over drove the corner."

Busch finished the race in 12th place. Meanwhile, Chastain moved up to fifth.
