Three-time Cup Series champion Tony Stewart recently shared the final moments of Stewart Haas Racing(SHR) on a NASCAR track after the end of the Championship Race at Phoenix Raceway. Stewart and Gene Haas-owned SHR announced their exit from NASCAR earlier this year, with the former champion outlining the reason behind the decision as dissatisfaction with the current direction the sport is heading.

Following the end of the 2024 Cup Series Championship Race at Phoenix Raceway, Tony Stewart, who is worth $90 million(via Celebrity Net Worth) shared an emotional moment for the team and its fans, as their last hauler exited a NASCAR track for the final time under their name. Stewart shared the post on X(formerly Twitter), writing:

"Directing the last hauler out."

In their 22 years in NASCAR, Tony Stewart and Gene Haas-led Stewart Haas Racing achieved three driver championships and 102 victories, with 70 wins in the Cup Series. However, Sunday marked the close of their memorable chapter in NASCAR, signaling the end of an influential era in the sport.

Ahead of the race in Phoenix, Stewart Haas Racing released a statement via their X handle, expressing their gratitude and appreciation for their fans.

"To Our Stewart-Haas Fans, you've cheered with us, and yes, sometimes even booed us. You showed up passionately and proudly, and we've felt your presence through the highs and lows. It's been the ride of a lifetime to be part of this sport and to play a small role in entertaining you all. As we close this final lap, we want to say thank you. Your energy has been felt in each moment and mile, and we'll carry your support with us always."

Meanwhile, SHR co-owner Gene Haas will stay active in NASCAR with the new Haas Factory Team (HFT). HFT plans to field one entry in the Cup Series, piloted by 2024 Xfinity Series runner-up Cole Custer, and two entries in the Xfinity Series with Sam Mayer and Sheldon Creed completing the lineup.
