Todd Gilliland, who is slated to retain the number 38 Front Row Motorsports Mustang in 2025, has recently made it to the leaderboard in recent NASCAR point statistics. When Trey Ryan, a popular "stat guy" posted the same on X (formerly Twitter), the NASCAR fans reacted to it with many of them stating that the Sherrills Ford native is quite underrated.

According to the stat, which shows the top-10 point holders in the last 5 races, Todd Gilliland has etched his name alongside former Cup Series champions like Joey Logano and Kyle Larson. Gilliland is 7th on the list whereas Larson is third and Joey Logano is ninth. Furthermore, he stands above other seasoned Cup Series regulars like Alex Bowman and the 2012 Cup Series champion, Brad Keselowski.

Todd Gilliland looks to capitalize on recent top-10 NASCAR performance amid new sponsor announcement

Last week in the Grant Park 165, Todd Gilliland finished seventh; one spot behind his Front Row Motorsports teammate Michael McDowell. Elated at his top-10 performance at the Chicago road course, Gilliland's crew chief, Ryan Bergenty, felt that the #38 team did a great job battling the challenging summer stretch, logging consistent results.

Todd Gilliland has not finished outside the top 17 since this year's Wurth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway. Reflecting on the same, Bergenty said (via the Speedway Digest):

"We're really excited about our Top-10 finish in Chicago. The summer stretch gets tough and it's easy to get burnt out, but the team has been hammering away to bring speed to the track and the results show. Todd (Gilliland) did great in Chicago, we just have to build on that momentum and capitalize on it."

Todd Gilliland is also bringing in a new sponsor for the NASCAR Cup Series race at Pocono Raceway on July 14: C.H. Reed, a distributor of Chicago Pneumatic Compressors with over 75 years of experience in the industry.

"I'm excited to carry the C.H. Reed brand this weekend, they are a significant distributor and great ambassador for Chicago Pneumatic Compressors and it's an honor to represent them at Pocono. Hopefully, I can give them a good showing," Gilliland said, speaking of the opportunity.

"I have always liked the challenge of Pocono, the track is so different than anything else we race at. I have a couple starts at Pocono in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series and have had some good results there, I just need to take those experiences and put them into the Cup car. I think I can do that this weekend," he added.

Gilliland had previously made 4 starts in the Truck Series at the "Tricky Triangle". In those starts, Gilliland has three P7 finishes and one P4 finish. He has led 11 laps at the superspeedway in Long Pond, Pennsylvania.
