With 23 races done so far, Bubba Wallace currently sits in 12th position in the driver's standings. The 23XI Racing driver has recorded nine top-10 and five top-5 finishes so far, accumulating a total of 587 points in the regular season. As the playoffs approach, Wallace is on the cusp of elimination, just three points above the cutoff line. A victory in one of the remaining three races is crucial for his playoff hopes.

With Austin Dillion removed from the Playoffs list post Richmond penalties, Bubba Wallace has a chance to solidify his place in the Top 16

The two-time NASCAR Cup Series race winner, Bubba Wallace, has had a mixed season so far. Despite all the ups and downs, the Alabama-based racer still has a chance of making it to the 2024 playoffs.

With Austin Dillon winning the Cook Out 400 race at Richmond Raceway and automatically securing a place in the Playoffs, the competition for the final four places became quite stiff. However, after investigating Dillon's controversial finish, NASCAR officials decided to remove him from the list.

This has opened up an opportunity for the likes of Wallace, Ross Chastain, and Chris Buescher to secure their place in the Top 16. With only a three-point cushion above the cutoff, the 23XI Racing driver must now maximize every result or aim for victory in the remaining three races.

However, with experienced racers such as Chastain and Buescher also in the chase, the battle will likely go down to the last race of the regular season at Darlington Raceway on September 1st.

Despite the odds, Wallace's vast experience, with nearly 260 Cup Series races under his belt since 2017, could be a significant asset in this high-stakes battle.
