Brad Keselowski has shared his thoughts on Ryan Preece ahead of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season. Keselowski sees potential in Preece as a strong driver despite struggling to show good results in previous years.

Preece is a 34-year-old Connecticut native who last drove for the now-discontinued Stewart-Haas Racing team in the premier series. For 2025, he will drive the No. 60 Ford Mustang for RFK Racing, a team Keselowski co-owns.

As a team co-owner, Brad Keselowski believes Ryan Preece is an ideal driver to sign due to his character and work ethic.

"Talent, underrated, hard-working — you know, everything you could dream of, of a coachable player,” Keselowski said via NASCAR.

The No. 6 Ford pilot added that giving Preece a good car and team should help him reach his potential sooner or later.

“I think the ball is in our court to give him the right opportunity and equipment, and surround him with the right people to succeed next year.”

While RFK Racing has yet to announce Preece's crew chief, the driver will compete in the No. 60 car with sponsorship from Kroger.

According to Keselowski, Kroger has a "proper NASCAR program" that should help RFK Racing grow. The retail company is bringing nearly 20 consumer-facing brands for the team, which should appear on all three cars next year.

Of note, RFK Racing will field Brad Keselowski's No. 6 Ford, Chris Buescher's No. 17 car, and Ryan Preece's No. 60 car.

The newly-formed trio will officially make their NASCAR debut at the Daytona 500 on February 16 next year.

Ryan Preece reacts to signing with RFK Racing for 2025

Ryan Preece is set to return to the NASCAR Cup Series field with RFK Racing following the departure of Stewart-Haas Racing. Preece expressed excitement over becoming teammates again with Chris Buescher and potentially learning from Brad Keselowski.

In an X (formerly Twitter) post by RFK Racing, Preece said:

"So having the opportunity to come over, be teammates with Chris again, someone who I enjoy being around with a lot of times, and someone that I actually from a teammate perspective I can depend on, just like he can depend on me." [0:24]

He added:

"And then obviously, being able to lean on Brad, the knowledge that he has, as well as what he's been able to do as a leader for RFK, is very impressive. It started with a phone call actually. I remember walking into SHR's building and I saw Brad was calling. That ended up being a conversation of there maybe an opportunity of where we're gonna be expanding to three car, would you, would you like to come drive for us?" [1:09]

Ryan Preece and Chris Buescher became teammates at JTG Daugherty Racing during the 2019 Cup Series season. The following year, Buescher joined Jack Roush's team, while Preece stayed for a while before moving to Stewart-Haas Racing.

Preece should also learn a lot from Keselowski considering the latter driver has won the 2012 championship and 36 races in the premier series.

The upcoming season will mark the first time RFK Racing will field three full-time cars since 2016.
