Two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch took to social media to share a humorous meme regarding his last name. The post comes in response to NASCAR referencing the 63-time Cup Series winner in the "Elf on a Shelf" social media trend.
NASCAR's social media team took to Instagram to post multiple photoshopped images of different drivers. The trend consists of people knowing about Elf on a Shelf, a Christmas-themed picture book, but did they know about other things, such as "Bowman on a Snowman" or "Ross on Moss," referring to Cup Series drivers Alex Bowman and Ross Chastain.
NASCAR posted multiple of these humorous memes and wrote:
One of the memes included "Busch on a bush," which was a literal photoshopped image of the driver of the #8 Richard Childress Racing standing on top of a bush.

This led the Las Vegas native to repost the meme via X and post a picture of an actual bush alongside it, in reference to the meme and his last name. Busch's caption read:
"NASCAR: Me:"
Busch is the younger brother of 2004 Cup Series champion, Kurt Busch, who competed in the Cup Series from 2001-2022 until he was forced to retire due to a career-ending injury sustained in a crash at the Pocono Raceway in 2022. He last drove the #45 23XI Racing Toyota, a car with which he won at the Kansas Speedway in May 2022, which was to be his last win to date.
The younger Busch, meanwhile, wrapped up his second season behind the wheel of the RCR #8 car. For the first time in his 20-year Cup Series career, Busch failed to win at least one race across the season's 36-race schedule. He also missed out on the playoffs for the first time since 2012. Busch finished 20th in the points standings, tying a career-low from his rookie campaign in 2005.
Kyle Busch says he's "not scared" ahead of Chili Bowl Nationals debut

Kyle Busch is set to make his first appearance in the famed Chili Bowl Nationals, an annual midget car event held in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After years of "excuses," Busch said he's ready to try his hand in the event.
Last month, Busch posted a humorous video of himself and his son, Brexton, who asked him what the excuse would be this time to not compete in the event. Brexton then teased Kyle that he was scared, to which the champion driver expressed he wasn't afraid. The video then broke the news that Busch would be competing in the event. His caption read:
"I’m not scared, @brextonbusch.🌶️👀 Tulsa is getting even Rowdy-er. Watch it all on @floracing.😈 #RowdyNation #NASCAR #chilibowl #reels"
Kyle Busch will join fellow Cup Series drivers Christopher Bell, Kyle Larson, and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. in the event. Bell won the event three years in a row from 2017-2019, while Larson won back-to-back Chili Bowl Nationals in 2020 and 2021.
