Two-time NASCAR Cup Series race winner Chase Briscoe and his wife Marissa welcomed their newborn twins, Cooper Banks and Collins Ivy on October 8th, 2024. However, the 29-year-old stock car racer has now shared a concerning update on his wife's health.

Briscoe began racing in the Cup Series in 2021 with Stewart-Haas Racing. Driving the #14 Ford Mustang race car, Briscoe clinched his first victory for SHR at Phoenix Raceway (Ruoff Mortgage 500 race) in 2022. Despite grabbing his first Playoff berth in the same season, the Indiana-based racer was unable to make it to the 'Round of 8.' Now, with SHR closing its shop, Briscoe is set to join Joe Gibbs Racing for the 2025 season.

The 29-year-old married Marissa in November 2019. After losing their first child through a miscarriage in 2020, the couple was blessed with a baby boy, Brooks, in 2021. Three years after the birth of Brooks (October 2nd, 2021), Chase and Marissa have now welcomed Cooper Banks and Collins Ivy (twins) to their family.

While the babies are fine, Briscoe's wife has caught some form of infection and has been in the emergency room. His mother is also present at the hospital, taking care of the 4-day-old twin babies. The news was shared on X by senior NASCAR journalist Jeff Gluck.

Here's a look at the post, captioned:

"Sounds like quite a stressful week for @ChaseBriscoe_14 after he and wife Marissa welcomed twins. During his media session at Charlotte, Chase said Marissa has had multiple trips to the ER this week -- and is there right now. Chase's mom is in the hospital parking lot with the four-day-old twins (don't want to bring them into an ER and expose them to anything), so Marissa is having to pump milk and run it out to the parking lot where Chase's mom is feeding the babies. He's hoping to get done at the track quickly today and get back to his family."

“So far, so good,” - Chase Briscoe on managing the YellaWood 500 race at Talladega, amidst wife's delivery news

Chase Briscoe was likely stuck in a dilemma during the Talladega race weekend. The Indiana-based racer was managing his responsibilities with Stewart-Haas Racing for the YellaWood 500 race while keeping a tab on his wife's delivery news.

Briscoe spoke about the challenge during a media interaction at Talladega.

“So far, so good. She was texting a second ago saying she’s had pressure today, so, yeah, the C-section is Tuesday morning. So hopefully, she can make it to there and make my job a lot easier this weekend, if you can just keep them in there,” he said.
“I mean, I’m pretty even-keeled and easygoing all the time. Yeah, I don’t really get anxious over it at all,” he added.

As of now, Briscoe is in the elimination bubble, as he is 32 points below the cutoff mark. With the Bank of America ROVAL 400 race at Charlotte being the last ahead of the 'Round of 8,' He will likely be focused on maximizing the results during the race.
