Chase Elliott recently shared his honest thoughts on Carl Edwards and his Prime gig. The NASCAR Hall of Famer joined the Amazon-owned streamer as a broadcaster earlier this year. And as per NASCAR's most popular driver, Edwards' impact with Prime has been nothing short of positive.

Speaking ahead of NASCAR's weekend in Mexico, Chase Elliott spoke about Edwards, claiming that the former driver is someone he has always 'appreciated and admired.'

"He is a great storyteller. He’s always been very professional and he does good in front of cameras. But he’s also a good guy away from that, too. I think he’s good choice for Amazon. I have not gone back and watched the races thus far. But I will say this, everyone that has come up to me – you know, friends or fans or whatever that have watched the races over the last few weeks – have had nothing but incredible things to say. And it seems like it’s been really well done, at least that’s kind of been the perception that’s out there that I’ve heard. So, I think Carl has a big role in that. I think he does a really good job," Elliott elaborated.

The #9 driver mentioned he has enjoyed his interactions with Edwards and looked forward to spending more time with him. Elliott claimed Edwards is someone with 'a lot of great insight' because of his extensive racing experience.

The 2020 Cup champion added that Edwards has re-emerged in NASCAR with an understanding of how things have changed. Because of this, Chase Elliott claimed he enjoys talking to personalities like Carl Edwards where there's an opportunity for him to learn.

Chase Elliott remains winless this season but maintains consistency in results

After going through a winless season in 2023, Chase Elliott finally ended his win drought at Texas in April 2024. However, since that day, Elliott has failed to win another Cup race.

Heading into Mexico, Chase Elliott has been winless in the last 41 races. But despite this drought, Elliott's chances of making it into the playoffs aren't even close to being bleak. Instead, he currently sits comfortably fifth in the points table because of the consistency of his results so far this season.

In the 15 races this year, Chase Elliott hasn't finished outside the top 20 even once. All of his finishes except for 8, have been inside the top 10, with three of them being inside the top 5.

With Mexico up ahead in the schedule, Elliott will undoubtedly be eyeing to end his winless drought. In fact, with one of his top 5 finishes of this season coming at COTA earlier this year, the #9 driver would be heading into Mexico with high confidence aiming for a win.
