Chase Elliott unveils "Desi9n to Drive" paint scheme by 11-year-old cancer fighter

Chase Elliott is all set to drive the paint scheme designed by an 11-year-old cancer patient at Atlanta this year. The Hendrick Motorsports driver carries out this deed every year at Atlanta to support his #Desi9ntoDrive foundation, and this year was no exception.

With the partnership from NAPA (Elliott's Cup Series sponsor) and Hendrick Motorsports (Elliott's Cup Series team), the Chase Elliott Foundation organizes an art collaboration with the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. It includes a full design makeover of Elliott's #9 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 car and his race uniform.

Elliott will drive this car at the 260-lap, 400-mile Quaker State 400 Available at the Walmart race at the Echopark Speedway (formerly Atlanta Motor Speedway) on June 28, 7 PM ET. Renowned NASCAR journalist Jeff Gluck wrote on X:

Rhealynn Mills, the 11-year-old cancer patient, designed the "#Desi9ntoDrive" paint scheme for the #NAPA Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and the #Alpinestars race uniform. The car depicts the same blue and white paint combination that the #9 driver uses, but it comes with a different scheme altogether.

Chase Elliott let his feelings be known on his new #Desi9ntoDrive paint scheme for the upcoming race at Atlanta. Addressing a video to Rhealynn Mills, the 11-year-old girl whose design got selected for the race, Elliott shared a video on social media.

Here's what he said in the video on X:

"Hey Rhealynn, Chase Elliott here. First off, I hope you're having a great day, and I let you know that your design won the contest for not only the car, but also my firesuit at Atlanta on June 28 coming up in just couple of months."
"So, with that being said, I would wanna invite you, and your family to come see your design come alive. I'm super excited about it, and Inhear your love the sport softball, and we can play it too, and NASCAR might be a new sport you haven't seen yet. So I'm excited to have you, and congratulations," the Hendrick Motorsports driver further added.

Coming into 2025, Chase Elliott is in fifth place in the NASCAR Cup Series standings with 494 points after 15 races. He trails his HMS teammates William Byron, Kyle Larson, and Joe Gibbs Racing duo Denny Hamlin and Christopher Bell in the championship. Elliott has three Top 5s and seven Top 10s to his name, and has yet to win a race this season.
