The NASCAR Cup Series is heading back to Pocono Raceway on June 22nd for the Great American Getaway 400, the 17th race of the season. Pocono is referred to as “The Tricky Triangle”, because of the track's unique three-turn layout modelled after three iconic tracks, with each turn having a different banking and radius. Turn 1 is modelled after Trenton Speedway with 14 degrees of banking, Turn 2 is modelled after Indianapolis Motor Speedway with 8 degrees of banking, and Turn 3 is modelled after Milwaukee Mile with 6 degrees of banking. The banking and radius of each corner make for an interesting challenge for drivers as they have to change their mindset multiple times each lap.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. reacts to Daniel Suarez's comeback Mexico City win

Daniel Suarez delivered a remarkable comeback victory in the Xfinity Series race at Mexico City’s Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, overcoming a poor qualifying effort and an early crash that forced him into a backup car and a start from the rear of the field. With 19 laps to go, Suarez capitalized on a massive 13-car pile-up triggered by Connor Zilisch and Ty Gibbs, seizing the lead and ultimately winning in front of his home crowd.

Reacting to the win, Dale Jr. said (via The Athletic):

“Unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Daniel is so beloved here and he has a lot of pride, a lot of national pride, so good to see him have success.
“There’s a lot of pressure on him. I can’t imagine him coming here and feeling the pressure to perform and succeed in front of his fans. I’m so thankful that he’s able to enjoy this moment."

The victory was especially meaningful, as Suarez became the first Mexican driver to win a NASCAR national series race in his home country since 2008, crossing the line just ahead of Taylor Gray.
