NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. has shared a list of racetracks he would like to see on iRacing's roster. The virtual racing software was founded in 2003 by Dave Kaemmer and John Henry and has amassed global fame since its inception.

Unlike the traditional days when the driver had to hit the racetrack to polish their racecraft, the advent of simulator racing was a breakthrough in the expensive motorsports industry. With the help of technology, iRacing successfully provides an immersive racing experience, without bearing the heavy lifting of maintaining a stock car.

Somewhere around 1996, Dale Earnhardt Jr. tasted virtual racing for the first time as he got a computer through his sister Kelley Earnhardt's credit. However, his father, 'The Intimidator' wasn't happy and thought it was a "waste" to practice simulations rather than taming a stock car on the asphalt.

Nonetheless, Earnhardt Jr. continued his virtual racing pursuit, and in 2020, he became the executive director of iRacing. Several players such as Rajah Caruth, William Byron, and Josh Berry have been propelled to success in NASCAR after showcasing their prowess in sim racing.

To date, iRacing boasts over 100 racetracks with more than 350 configurations. Still, some tracks are missing from their roster and Dale Earnhardt Jr. has listed which tracks he wishes to see.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the 26x Cup Series winner wrote.

"Three tracks I'd love to see come to @iRacing. @FastestHalfMile @BerlinRaceway, a one mile dirt oval."

While Earnhardt Jr. named two of the three tracks he wants in iRacing, he only mentioned the configuration of the third one. This prompted a few suggestions from the fanbase to which the 49-year-old replied.

The 49-year-old's first pick, the Winchester Speedway, is the only active oval with the highest and the steepest banking on the turns. As a result, it's popularly known as the "World's Fastest 1/2 mile" racetrack as the exit speed from high-banked turns to the inside line will be quite high.

Next is the 7/16-mile-long Berlin Raceway. The track was a horse track before WWII but undertook sporting events later. Berlin Raceway races weekly in NASCAR's Weekly Series and has hosted other touring series events such as the ARCA Series, USAC Silver Crown, and World of Outlaws, to name a few.

But when Dale Earnhardt Jr. mentioned the third track as a one-mile dirt oval, one fan replied the Illinois State Fairgrounds was the track to go for. Even the 49-year-old wants the 1-mile clay oval in iRacing and wrote that he's "pushing for it."

One fan suggested the 0.555-mile Salem Speedway. The asphalt is home to major race events such as ARCA and USAC. Though it's not a dirt oval, Earnhardt Jr. replied "Indeed," underscoring the possibility of it being added to iRacing.

While is affirmative with two race tracks, time will tell which dirt oval will be the third addition in iRacing.
