"Don’t be less of you, be more": Danica Patrick’s viral life advice gets backing from Kelley Earnhardt

Former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick dropped some words of wisdom on her social media followers in a recent Instagram post. The powerful message sparked many positive reactions, with a notable one being from Kelley Earnhardt Miller, daughter of the late Dale Earnhardt and sister to Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Patrick, the former driver of the #10 Stewart-Haas Racing car, took to Instagram to encourage her followers to be more themselves. If they don't do this, Patrick explained, they'll be "miserable" in life and not have the success or friends they could have if they acted like themselves.

"When you’re aligned. You’re alive. • The further you get from who you are and what you want and what you love and what brings you joy….. the more miserable you’ll be. And less successful. And less fun to be around. And less memorable. Don’t be less of you, be more. • Two life hacks for me - plan more fun and be grateful. F**k around and find out what I mean. 😉 Get aligned, with yourself," Danica Patrick wrote.

The message caught the attention of Earnhardt Miller, who shared the post on her Instagram stories. Earnhardt Miller believes Patrick's wise words should be heard and encouraged her followers to check out the original post.

Danica Patrick last competed full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2017. She competed for Stewart-Haas Racing behind the wheel of the #10 machine, a ride she kept through the entirety of her full-time Cup career (2013-2017). Patrick became the first woman to start on the pole and lead a green flag lap in the Cup Series in the 2013 Daytona 500. Patrick's best career finish was sixth at Atlanta in 2014.

Prior to NASCAR, Patrick competed in the NTT IndyCar Series. The Wisconsin native became the first woman to win an IndyCar race when she took the victory at Homestead in 2005. Patrick also won Rookie of the Year that same season.


Danica Patrick dropped Indy 500 photos following race's FOX debut

The Indianapolis 500 took place two weeks ago and was the first time the prestigious race was on the FOX network. Danica Patrick, who formerly raced in the event during her time in IndyCar, was among the FOX team helping broadcast the race.

Patrick took to Instagram following the race with photos of herself in a black and white dress that she wore for the event. She made note of her position as a pre-race analyst in her caption, writing:

"Since I was behind a desk for the broadcast yesterday….. 🖤🤍"

Aside from the Indianapolis 500, Patrick has helped do analyst work for NBC Sports for both NASCAR and IndyCar. Patrick's last race behind the wheel in NASCAR was the 2018 Daytona 500 and, in IndyCar, the 2018 Indianapolis 500.
