RFK Racing co-owner Brad Keselowski discussed Ford's potential to take its first win of the season at Talladega Superspeedway, conceding that his team and Ford drivers overall, had a better shot at victory.

Ford has consistently shown race-winning speed at the speedways, which was evident in the first two weekends at Daytona and Atlanta. Despite demonstrating race-winning pace, none of the Mustang drivers were able to capitalize and secure a victory in the season-opening race.

With NASCAR returning to Talladega Superspeedway, Brad Keselowski acknowledged that Ford and RFK Racing drivers are aiming to run up front in the GEICO 500 and return home with a win or at least a good result.

"Its definitely a better opportunity for us. We have more speed as a manufacturer at these type of tracks. We need to capitalize on that. I think its a great opportunity not just Ford to win, for our team to win, for RFK. We need to come out here with great finishes," he said via Bob Pockrass.

The #6 Ford driver also highlighted missed opportunities in the first two races, hoping for a turnaround at Talladega this weekend:

"Daytona and Atlanta, both of those tracks RFK had great speed, Ford had great speed, just the circumstances of races we didn't really leave with a win, [or] with a lot of points scored."

Brad Keselowski is one of the favorites to win this weekend's race at the 2.66-mile oval, having recorded six wins at the famed oval. His last victory also came at the same track, when he won the spring race with Team Penske in 2021.

Keselowski lines up in the 11th row, with teammate Chris Buescher in the fourth row for the 188-lap race, scheduled this Sunday, April 21, at 3:20 PM ET.

Brad Keselowski eyeing a "special" victory at Talladega

The #6 RFK Racing driver is one of the most successful Cup Series drivers at Talladega Superspeedway with six victories. Keselowski is aiming to park his Ford Mustang Dark Horse in victory lane this Sunday to celebrate the iconic brand's 60th anniversary.

Brad Keselowski recently emphasized the significance of a victory at Talladega and the surrounding circumstances that would make it special. He said (via Jayski):

"Talladega has been a special track for me, and I look forward to going there... There are a lot of peripheral circumstances that would add to how special that would be if we were able to do that. From Mustang’s 60th birthday to where we are as a company to where I am at in my career. So, it would be special to be able to win."

Keselowski is currently on a 107-race winless streak, which dates back to his last with Penske at the same track in 2021.
