Team Penske driver Joey Logano became the NASCAR Cup Series champion for the third time this year at Phoenix Raceway on November 10, 2024. He recently attended the award ceremony with his wife, Brittany Baca, which was held on Sunday, and showcased his gratitude toward her for keeping up with him.
Logano married his high school girlfriend Brittany Baca on December 14, 2014, and the couple share three kids. While their first son Hudson was born in January 2018, their second son Jameson was born in May 2020 through IVF. The two welcomed their daughter Emilia in February 2022, the same year Logano won his second championship title.
Logano mentioned that he visited Phoenix Raceway on Wednesday before the race with his wife and three children. They dreamt about going up, taking the flag together, and driving the car to victory lane. He mentioned that this was the moment that "mattered so much."
"A photo of us walking up there to grab a flag—that's what it's all about," stated Joey Logano.
He further mentioned that the "most important decision you ever make in your life" is the person you choose to spend your life with. He praised his wife and added:
"Coming up by 10 years now. This year, just right around the corner. She's. Thank you. She's yeah, give her a round of applause. She's got to deal with me every day."
Joey Logano always credits his wins to his wife Baca and did the same after winning his third championship title.
“It still makes me tear”: Joey Logano shares his emotional gesture about his wife after his third title win
Joey Logano won his third championship title at Phoenix Raceway on November 10, 2024, and was featured on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Ch. 90), revealing how special the moment was to celebrate the win with his wife Brittany Baca.
The three-time Cup Series champion highlighted his wife has been with him through thick and thin. He then walked to celebrate his victory with her and was overwhelmed with emotion and gratitude. The moment still tears him up and reminds him of his wife's unwavering support.
"It's so special just to deal with the people you love, about you love, and you care about this whole team, my family, everybody's here, so just makes it so special that moment my wife walked up to me, it just still makes me tear up a little bit. It's just so you try so hard, it grinds rough," stated Joey Logano. [00:48]
"You know, sports are hard, you know, especially at this level; you don't win every one of them. You lose the majority of them. And when you care about it that much, it's just tough. And my wife takes the brunt of it more times than not. So to celebrate with her is really special for me," he added [01:10].
Logano won his third title after a two-year hiatus, marking Team Penske's dominance in the sport.
