NASCAR driver Harrison Burton's fiancé Jenna Petty recently joked about this Christmas being her last before becoming a wife. Petty and Burton have been together since 2017 and got engaged in March this year.
Petty, who is a graduate of High Point University, works as a dancer at Dance Productions. She often posts about her life with Burton on social media. On November 27, Petty shared a lighthearted Instagram story about her upcoming wedding.
"POV: It's your last Christmas before you become a wife," the post read.
The couple is set to tie the knot on October 1 next year at Palmetto Bluff, South Carolina.
Meanwhile, Harrison Burton, son of former NASCAR driver Jeff Burton, wrapped up three years in the Cup Series this season.
Burton finished the season in 16th place and will compete in the Xfinity Series next year for AM Racing. He has had a successful run in the Xfinity Series with four wins and 49 top-10 finishes in 75 starts.
"A season to remember" - Jenna Petty on Harrison Burton's 2024 NASCAR Cup Series campaign
Jenna Petty accompanied Burton to the NASCAR Awards Ceremony in Charlotte, North Carolina, on November 22.
She posted pictures from the event on Instagram and reflected on Burton's 2024 season where he earned his first NASCAR Cup Series win at Daytona in August, driving the No. 21 Ford Mustang. He beat Kyle Busch by just 0.047 seconds and gave Wood Brothers Racing its 100th victory.
"A season to remember," Petty wrote.
Burton talked about their upcoming wedding on the red carpet and said:
"Jenna and I, we've been together for seven years, right? And, uh, for us to be engaged and getting ready for a wedding is really fun—something that we both have been looking forward to since we were 16 years old. So, uh, it’s a really fun and cool part of our lives, and we’re just soaking it in and enjoying it," (01:26).
He also shared his thoughts on attending his first NASCAR Cup Series banquet:
"It’s fun! I didn’t know that all this happened, you know? Honestly, I just did interviews I’ve never done and been in rooms I’ve never been in, like the Hall of Fame. Just, you know, coming here more as a spectator when you’re not in the playoffs—and now being kind of a part of it more," Burton said (01:52).
Burton was the first driver born in the 2000s to debut in the Cup Series at Talladega in 2021. He has one win and six top-10 finishes in the series.
