NASCAR icon Kyle Larson had a busy day on Sunday after juggling Indy 500 qualifying and NASCAR All-Star race at North Wilkesboro. However, he didn't miss out on the post-race drama between Kyle Busch and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Moreover, the Hendrick Motorsports driver gave his verdict on who would win in an "actual fight" between Busch and Stenhouse Jr.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was unhappy with Kyle Busch after the latter took him out early in lap 2 of the All-Star race. He waited the entirety of the race outside Busch's hauler for him to show up.
After the initial confrontation, Stenhouse Jr. threw a punch on the Richard Childress Racing driver, which threw him on the ground. Busch retaliated and punched Stenhouse's father in the process.
Moroever, Kyle Larson isn't surprised by the incident and backs Ricky Stenhouse Jr. to win against Kyle Busch in an actual fight. NASCAR reporter Jenna Fryer threw the question at Yung Money about the result between the two in a hypothetical fight.
Kyle Larson responded:
“Oh, Ricky, for sure. He’s a scrapper. And he doesn’t stop. He won’t stop.”
Additionally, the 31-year-old said:
“He may get beat up, but he won’t quit.”
Kyle Larson thought he was going to win the All-Star race "for sure"
The 2021 Cup Series champion Kyle Larson was certain of beating Joey Logano and Co. for the win in the All-Star race at North Wilkesboro. The HMS driver finished the race in fourth position, behind race winner Joey Logano, Denny Hamlin and Chris Buescher.
Speaking to the media after the race, Yung Money said:
“I thought we were in a great position to win. I thought for sure we would win, but just didn’t work out. We’ll do our homework and try to get our car better for next year.”
The superstar stock car racing driver also praised his team for their support.
“Hats off to the team. I know they had a lot of work this week; having Kevin (Harvick) practice, swap seats and everything back to where I could drive it. Proud to go back and forth (from Indy) and have a shot to win.”
Kyle Larson might have missed the $1 million prize money, but he certainly impressed many fans and pundits by pulling off a difficult double duty.
