Per Sport Stak, Busch will appear in the first two episodes of the podcast alongside hosts Shannon Spake, Mamba Smith, and Steve Letarte. The show will feature NASCAR drivers like Busch analyzing the playoff picture and providing their insights.

Speaking of his experience, Busch wrote in one of his recent Instagram stories,

"The graphic doesn't look like it. But I was a lil happy to be there."

Kyle Busch is not among the 16 drivers to start their engines at Atlanta Motor Speedway on September 8. The two-time Cup Series champion missed out on making his 12th straight playoff appearance. Busch missed the playoffs in 2005, 2009, and 2012, but never once since the elimination-style playoff format was introduced in 2014.

Furthermore, Busch's streak of 19 consecutive seasons with at least one win is at risk. His last win in the Cup Series came at the World Wide Technology Raceway on June 4, 2023. The #8 driver is winless so far this season. However, he now has 10 weeks to win a race and keep his steak alive.

"I think it's unfortunate"- Kevin Harvick shares thoughts on Kyle Busch missing the playoffs

Former NASCAR driver and 2014 Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick shared his thoughts on Kyle Busch missing the playoffs in a recent episode of the Happy Hour Podcast. According to the retired driver, Busch and the No. 8 RCR team have gained significant momentum following the two-week Olympic break.

"When you look at Kyle Busch, kudos to RCR for what they've done since the Olympic break," Harvick said. "Those cars were not very good for the most part the first 26 weeks or first 20-whatever weeks."
"But since that Olympic break, whatever they have done since that break, both of those cars of Austin Dillon and Kyle Busch have been capable of running up front and leading laps," he explained.

Busch delivered three top-5 performances in a row in his last three races, which include a pair of runner-up finishes at Daytona International Speedway and most recently at Darlington Raceway.

"I think it's unfortunate that we don't get to see Kyle make his way through the playoffs because I really do feel like he could make some noise and I feel like there's a couple of guys who aren't going to make much noise and get eliminated, but that's part of it," Harvick further added.

Fans can watch the Round of 16 opener live on NBC Sports and USA from 3 PM ET onwards (September 8). Radio updates will also be available on PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
