Dale Earnhardt Jr. took a trip down memory lane on social media when an X user brought to light his two victories at the Pocono Raceway in 2014. The former Hendrick Motorsports driver felt "sad" by the blast to the past as it was noted that his Pocono wins were from 11 years ago.
An X user that goes by the name NASCAR Legends posted photos from Earnhardt Jr.'s 2014 Pocono 400 win. The post came on the 11-year anniversary of the win (June 8, 2025), and the user noted that Earnhardt Jr. won both Pocono races that year for the season sweep. They wrote:
"Dale Earnhardt Jr won the 2014 Pocono 400 eleven years ago today. 🏁 Dale Jr won both Cup races at Pocono in 2014. #WhatTurn4 🏁 #TheTrickyTriangle"
Earnhardt Jr. quoted the user's post expressing his surprise that the pair of Pocono victories happened 11 years ago. The former driver of the #88 said he was saddened by the amount of time that has passed, but jokingly said he felt better after seeing his #88 National Guard paint scheme in the pictures.
"11 years???? No! I'm sad now. Damnit. Was a fun year though. And what a good looking car. Ok I'm good," Dale Earnhardt Jr. wrote.
