Spire Motorsports' Raja Caruth won the 2024 Most Popular Award in the Craftsman Truck Series. The 22-year-old NASCAR racer expressed gratitude to his fans in a video posted on social media.

After gaining experience in the 2021 ARCA Menards Series, Caruth began driving part-time in the Truck Series in the 2022 season. Witnessing the potential, the Washington, DC-born racer was offered his first full-time role by Spire Motorsports for the 2024 Truck Series season. The youngster won his first-ever NASCAR race at Las Vegas in March, thereby making him the third African American driver to win in a national series after the iconic Wendell Scott (the first African American NASCAR racer) and Bubba Wallace.

Caruth's performance throughout the 2024 season helped him gain a large fanbase in the NASCAR community. This eventually led to the #71 driver winning the 2024 National Motorsports Press Association Most Popular Driver Award in the Truck Series. As a token of appreciation, Caruth shared a video on his Instagram page, thanking his fans for their support.

Here's a look at the post, with a heartfelt message from the young racer in the caption:

"Thank YOU everyone for voting me for the @nascar Trucks #mostpopulardriver, and your support this season! I appreciate my village of family, friends, teammates, and supporters. I hope everyone has a great holiday season with your loved ones, and I can’t wait to show what we’ve got in the lab for 2025! ⚡️"
"Hey everyone. I just wanted to express my gratitude for you all voted me to win most popular driver in the truck series this season. It definitely was unexpected when I was told I was in the top five. I didn't really believe it at all. And it was awesome to be at the banquet last weekend in Charlotte and be recognized there," Caruth said.
"I'm super thankful to all of you guys for support both on and off the racetrack, online, and in person. From having my name written on your chest to buy in our diecast or merchandise, showing up at our event both on and off the racetrack. It's been really a dream so far in my career, and I'm super thankful for you guys," he added.
