IN PHOTOS: Kyle Busch family heads to Italy for vacation amid challenging NASCAR season

Ahead of the two-week break for the Paris Olympics, NASCAR driver Kyle Busch and his family have set course for a European getaway. Samantha Busch, wife of the RCR driver, shared pictures of the Busch family including her parents on the flight.

Amidst an underwhelming 2024 Cup Series season, a trip to Italy seems like a sigh of relief for the two-time Cup Series champion.

#8 Busch is on the brink of not qualifying for the 2024 playoff round for the first time in his NASCAR career. Despite showing speed in the first half of the season, the 39-year-old has had 5 DNFs in eight of his last starts for Richard Childress Racing. However, a week off is just what he might need to come back strong.

In a recent post on Instagram, Samantha shared a sneak peek of the "crew" geared up for the vacation. She shared a selfie with Kyle and their 2-year-old daughter Lennix.

She further revealed the other members of the family that have joined them on the "bucket-list" trip - Brexton, her nine-year-old son and his grandparents, decked up for the Italian getaway.

Las Vegas native Busch and Samantha tied the knot on December 31, 2010 at Holy Name Cathedral, a church in Chicago, Illinois.

Before leaving for Italy, Samantha shared a peek of their 24-hour stopover in New York and a dazzling white outfit she wore for the day on Instagram.

"24 hours in NYC 🍎 Now off to Italy!! Ahhhhhhhhhh #bucketlist trip here we come! 🇮🇹 Tell me what do you want to see or know about the trip? Things for kids, outfit details, must do excursions, restaurant suggestions, something else? Let me know below, you all were so helpful planning our trip wanna do the same!" she wrote in the caption.

Notably, Kyle Busch's wife, Samantha has been prepping for the trip for quite a while now - more than three months. She had claimed that she has dreamt of going to Italy all her life to visit her father's place of birth.

On her Instagram handle where she has more than 245,000 followers, Samantha Busch had asked for suggestions from fans and to craft an itinerary for her then-upcoming Italy trip.

"Andremo in Italia🍝🇮🇹 Counting down the days until our first Italian vacation, my bucket list trip 🤩 I need your help! Seeking your favorite hidden gems, mouthwatering restaurants, and off-the-beaten-path adventures...Please share your top suggestions and help me craft the ultimate Italian itinerary, thank you! 🍷 ✨" she wrote.

Busch also mentioned that their first landing spot would be Rome, where they would spend two days, followed by Naples, a visit to her father's birthplace, and finally a seven-day sea voyage to the Amalfi Coast.
