As the 2024 NASCSAR Cup Series season returns to the superspeedway, FOX Sports NASCAR analyst Kevin Harvick shared his insights and predictions for the race. Harvick is all in on Ford drivers picking up their first Cup win of the season in Sunday’s GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway.

On the “Kevin Harvick’s Happy Hour” podcast, the former Cup champion explored a detailed analysis of the drivers he believes will have the opportunity to win the Talladega spring race on Sunday (Apr. 21). He predicted his top two favorites to win the Talladega Cup race.

According to Kevin Harvick, Ford driver Joey Logano is going to win this weekend. Harvick believes that Logano will be aggressive to earn the season's first win after missing out on the opportunity at the Daytona season opener.

Predicting the Talladega race winner on his podcast, Harvick said:

“I have nothing but Fords on my list, and I'm going to go with Joey Logano. I think that he knows that this is his opportunity to win.
"I think he knows that he had that opportunity to win at Daytona, and it didn't work out, not by his doing, but I think that he is going to be super aggressive this weekend”

Harvick also picked Todd Gilliland as a “dark horse pick” to shine at the 2.66-mile longest NASCAR oval on the schedule.

“My Dark Horse, Todd Gilliland. I’m telling you the Fords have to all in this weekend; they have to be all in; they've been those cars that have been the best on the superspeedways, and it hasn't always worked out, but there's going to be some crashes and luck that go with all this, but the Fords have to win,” the former driver-turned-commentator added.

How has Kevin Harvick’s top pick performed at Talladega Superspeedway?
